(FUDGE CANDY) In Polish its name means cows. This is
tasty caramel and its very sticky and very sweet. We like it very much.
SKI JUMPING
Polish people are crazy about ski jumping. We
have a great World and Olympic
Champion Kamil Stoch and we love him!!!
When he jumps we shout
FLY KAMIL FLY!!!
THE POLONEZ
We dance this usually on big balls, for example on proms. Thats our national dance. This is the first dance on balls.
PIEROGI
A very popular Polish dish.
In English they are called
dumplings .Inside you find: potatoes, cottage cheese,
mushrooms, spinach, cabbage.
OSCYPEK
This is cheese made in the Polish
mountains.
It is made from milk of sheep.
It is smoked and very salty but very
good.

In Poland, when you want to wish good luck!, we say Trzymam kciuki
( Im holding my thumbs)
and we do this:
Kissing the ladys hand
When Polish men meet a woman ,
they kiss her on the hand. Dont be surprised!
IMIENINY - Namedays!
In Poland, we celebrate not only Birthdays, but Namedays too. You know when it is your Nameday by
checking it in the Christian calendar, for example:
-Annas Nameday is 26th July
-Julias Nameday is 22nd May One more day to send cards
and get presents!
Fat Thursday
In many countries it is
called Fat Tuesday
(Mardi Gras), but in
Poland we have Fat
Thursday. We eat
pczki (doughnuts) and faworki cakes.
