SYSTEM SETUP PROCEDURE1. AFTER FLUSHING THE PIPE AND TUBING NETWORK OF ALL DEBRIS, CLOSE THE

FIELD FLUSH VALVE, RUN PUMP AND WAIT FOR THE PRESSURE TO STABILIZE.2. ONCE THE PRESSURE HAS STABILIZED, RECORD THE FLOW RATE THROUGH THE

FLOW METER FOR ONE MINUTE. THIS IS THE ACTUAL DOSE FLOW RATE IN GPM.3. CALCULATE THE FLUSHING FLOW RATE BY MULTIPLYING THE NUMBER OF SUPPLY

MANIFOLD CONNECTIONS BY 1.6 GPM. ADD THE DOSING FLOW RATE TO THEFLUSHING FLOW RATE. THIS NEW ACCUMULATIVE FLOW RATE IS THE MINIMUMFLOW RATE NEEDED TO ACHIEVE ADEQUATE SCOURING VELOCITY IN THE ENTIRESYSTEM.

4. WHILE THE PUMP IS RUNNING, OPEN THE FIELD FLUSH VALVE SLOWLY UNTIL THERETURN PRESSURE GAUGE READS 10 PSI.

5. NOW RECORD THE FLOW RATE THROUGH THE FLOW METER. IT SHOULD BEGREATER THEN THE NEW ACCUMULATED FLOW RATE NEEDED. MORE IS BETTER. IFDESIRED, ONE CAN FURTHER ADJUST THE RETURN PRESSURE HIGHER ANDMEASURE THE FLOW TO APPROXIMATE THE MINIMUM ACCUMULATED FLOW.
