    (98) Useful website links

Some websites which I used for my preparation. They seemed invaluable for me and most important

of all - they are available for free and genuine !!

    1. OBG Guidelines - An important source of information which you should refer for all OBG cases that

    you prepare. http://www.thewomens.org.au/ClinicalPracticeGuidelines

    2. Paediatrics Guidelines - An important source of information which you should refer for all OBG

    cases that you prepare. http://www.rch.org.au/clinicalguide/

    3. http://www.nhmrc.gov.au/

    4. http://www.clinicalguidelines.gov.au/

    5. https://www.racgp.org.au/guidelines

All topics - refer to standard texts:

John Murtagh - GP and patient education

    Paediatrics - RCPH

    Harrison/Davidson

Please try to stick to Australian guidelines when you prepare. Please note that UK/USA/other

guidelines some times do not fit exactly into australian system(Example - Alcohol counselling,

    Smoking guidelines etc.,)

Read recalls, amc clinical book and relevant texts.

Try not to read usmle stuff(Kaplan, step 2 cs material and related videos) in detail. Remember that

you are preparing for AMC (and not USMLE!!). Each exam is different and has its own stuff. They are

just another source of some knowledge and are to be used to guide you. Many books sold in the

market as part of "AMC clinical bundles" contain PLAB/MLE material with names changed - Look for

the authors and be aware!! Do not waste precious time (and money!!)
