Viridian was looking for a company who could ensure the health and safety of its residents overnight and during weekends. Throughout term time, each hall had a management team based on site. But, with each hall accommodating up to 300 residents, issues relating to damaged fhef[hjo"�WbYe^eb�WdZ�Zhk]�WXki[�WdZ�YedƂ_Yj�between residents began to arise.

Securitas began by issuing detailed site Assignment Instructions and Risk Assesments, as well as introducing a KPI system which measured performance on individual sites and the contract as a whole.

The resultM_j^�j^[�_djheZkYj_ed�e\�ademb[Z]WXb[�eŽY[hi�je�[WY^�i_j["�Wbed]i_Z[�j^[�WZZ[Z�X[d[ƀj�e\�I[Ykh_jWi�eŽY[hi�WYj_d]�Wi�W�Xh_Z][�X[jm[[d�residents and the Viridian management team, communication has improved no end, forming the basis of a strong partnership.

The halls of residence are now a safer place for the residents. Securitas has dramatically reduced the number of incidents on each e\�j^[�ƀl[�i_j[i$�7�Yedi_Z[hWXb[�dkcX[h�e\�these have been alcohol-related where the quick response and the First Aid training of the eŽY[hi�^Wi�X[[d�[njh[c[bo�lWbkWXb[$

Not only have incidents declined but thefts have diminished through the implementation of a comprehensive management procedure – whereby each site’s safe code is changed daily by the Property Manager and communicated to Securitas’ Control Centre.

The service levels Securitas deliver have exceeded Viridian’s expectations. This in turn helped Securitas negotiate higher pay rates for j^[�eŽY[hi"�m^_Y^�Yedjh_Xkj[Z�je�W�ZhWcWj_Y�improvement employee retention.
