Mrs. Dana Iera is school psychologist for the Plum Borough School District and has servedfor six years in the Special Education/PupilServices Department.

Dana points to one word to explain the most favorite part of her job: uniqueness. She sees her position as one of the few that involves a combination of working individually with stu-dents, being a part of administrative initiatives, and working closely with parents and teachers.

Her advice to students and colleagues: “The things you regret most in life are the risks you never take.”

Cool Fact: She lived abroad in London, England for her first semester of college!

Mrs. Iera was inspired by a former and current supervisors. She said they are women of incredible intelligence and high standards who skillfully balancework and family. They encourage her to follow her dreams, both professionallyand personally.

One Last Thing: She is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in Special Educa-tion at Slippery Rock University!
