Picture thisSome dictionaries use pictures as well as
definitions to show you what something looks like, or to illustrate
a set of related words, such as the parts of a flower or the names
of the planets in our solar system. Look up the words flower and
planet in your dictionary to see some examples.
1. Can you fill in the blank labels on this picture? Look up the
entry for skeleton in your dictionary to help you.
2. Find the picture of a human eye in your dictionary and copy
it into the space below. Then add five labels showing what the
parts of the eye are called.
