Joe Harand did an excellent jobat guard during the latter partof last season. Particularly goodon rebounds. Joe is from Tena-fly, N. J., stands six feet fourinches and weighs 194 pounds.

Victor Bubas, Southern Conter-ence All—Tournament guard, sec-ond team All-Southern last year.Vic is usually a high scorer withhislong set shots. A Junior inIndustrial Recreation, he plansa coaching career. Bubas is asix foot two inch, 188 pounderfrom Gary, Ind.

Warren Cartier hails from GreenBay, Wis., is married and hasan 18 months old son. ”Swede”was voted the most valuableplayer award by his teammateslast season. You may find this190 pound, six foot three seniorplaying at all positions duringthe course of a game.

SAM RANZINO and DICK DICKEY have become the most re-spected forwards in the Southern Conference during the past

season. Ranzino, who tallied 524 points in 29 games for an18 point average, and Dickey, who scored 401 points over thesame distance for a 13.5 average, were the only two playersfrom the Southern Conference to make the second-team Asso-

ciated" Press All-America. N. C. State was the only school in thenation to place two men on the top 15 selected. Tonight Dickey

winds up his North Carolina career in a State uniform, but Ran-zino will return next season as the spark-plugs of the 1951

Wolfpack.

Charlie Stine, a 175 pound sixfoot Senior from Frankfort, lnd.,is one of Coach Case’s most ca—pable reserves. Stine knows theCase system well, having playedunder the State skipper atFrankfort High in 1942. Charlieis a Navy veteran and is study-ing Mechanical Engineering.

Johnny Moffatt of George Wash-ington, although not a highlypublicized player, is regarded bySouthern Conference coaches asone of the best competitors inthe loop. Moffatt, a blonde—haired 6—3 rebound ace, is also atop scorer. He averaged 12.5points in GW’s 24 games duringthe past season and was one ofthe big reasons why the Co-lonials were a third seeded teamfor the Southern Conferencetournament. He’s a forward.

Whit Cobb of Davidson willbe at a guard position tonightfor Coach Gerry Gerard’sSenior All-Stars. During theregular season he captainedthe Davidson team and wasone of theltop scorers with233 points in 26 games foran average of 8.9 points pertry. Whit stands six—feet, oneinch and weighs 165-pounds.

Jim Patton of Wake Forest is ahefty 190—pounder who is re-garded as one of the best guardsin Wake Forest cage history.During the past season Pattonwas captain of the Demon Dea-cons. Although not a prolificscorer Patton can hit from theoutside well. He marked up 97points in 28 games during theseason for a 3.4 average.
