Your BYOD policy needs to state clearly who owns the data that is stored on employeesrsquo
devices and what can be done with that data It should be very clear that the
organization owns the data and has the ability to remove the data from the device Then

made to recover lost data employees should know that they are storing personal
items on their phone at their own risk

prevent wage claims This includes whether non-exempt employees are allowed or
prohibited from using the device for work outside of work hours If an employee needs
