Jerome H. Stroumza, DDS, MS, DSc

Dr. Stroumza received his DDS in Paris, France with emphases in endodontics, periodontics, oral surgery and radiology. After practicing and teaching in Paris, he trained at UCLA where isreceived a Masterʼs of Science in Oral Biology for research in growth factors and the extrac-tion and testing of BMP (Bone Morphogenic Protein) which had been discovered by ProfessorUrist. He continued his formal endodontic specialty training at Boston University under Prof.Schilder where he received his Doctorate in Science for research on human osteoblastic cellmigration and the impact of endotoxin in healing of lesions of endodontic origin.

Since teaching at UCSF, he maintains a full time practice in San Francisco teaching locallyand lecturing nationally and internationally. In the mid 90s, Dr. Stroumza laid the foundation ofhis novel approach in the decision-making process and management of complex endodonticcases combining endodontics with the field of 3D radiography, bone grafting and implantology.Founder of the concept: EndoImplantology as the paradigm shift in endodontics. As a mem-ber of Real World Endoʼs Board of Advisors, Dr. Stroumza is certified to conduct lectures andseminars on Precision-Based Endodontics.

The Endo-Restorative Continuum

This presentation will concentrate on two areas. 1) How to perform Endodontics in a pre-dictable, reproducible manner, and 2) How to do root canal therapy in such a manner that youactually enhance the long-term prognosis of the tooth. The goal of this program is to havedentists learn how to perform endodontics in such a way that they can offer their patients along-term natural dentition option as an alternative to implants.

Included in the lecture component will be a thorough discussion concerning access, non-sur-gical ultrasonic use, rotary file design, instrumentation techniques, and various obturationoptions. Particular emphasis will be placed on developing endodontic synchronicity betweena machined preparation and a laser verified primary or single cone. Additionally, various tech-niques will be discussed that will facilitate the restoration of the endodontically treated tooth.

During this lecture:

1. How to perform minimally invasive endodontics - the .04 preparation.2. The benefits of developing “endodontic synchronicity”.3. The advantages of new bioceramic technology in endodontics.
