Golf Course & Landscape Operations - Eric Czarnecki With all the attention the irrigation project and the golf courses have been receiving I felt it was important to make mention of the Common Grounds this week. I began overseeing the common grounds on 9/1/09 after they had been outsourced to a private contractor for the previous 3 years. I had a couple of months to ad-dress what I considered to be very poor conditions and then we had an extremely tough winter which didn’t aide in the improvements that I wished to incorporate. However when we entered the spring growing season every effort was made to improve the common grounds along with the golf courses. All areas within the com-mon grounds have a daily maintenance schedule along with a fertilizer, herbicide and pesticide program. We’ve also added various native areas as part of an overall beautification process. Due to the steps we have taken we’ve seen considerable improvement in these areas and the staff appreciates the positive feedback received from Members.

Thank you.
