About the EventsThe 8th Annual Mine Rehab Conference 2018 (Best Practice Ecological Rehabilitation of Mined Lands Conference) is organised by the Tom Farrell Institute for the Environment (TFI) in partnership with the Hunter Environmental Institute (HEI). The TFI is a multidisciplinary organisation which is well placed as the University of Newcastle’s Environmental outreach arm, to engage with Australia’s leading professionals involved in the broader environmental fields.
This annual conference is a significant event on the Hunter Region calendar. It provides an important avenue to promote the use of best-practice approaches in the management of rehabilitation of mined lands.
Based on previous years’ attendance figures (approximately 40% rehab professionals, 20% academic, 20% industry and 20% government), we are anticipating approximately 300+ delegates, making it one of the largest mining rehabilitation conferences in Australia.
This is your opportunity to engage and be engaged.
