Most states and local school districts have laws and/or requirements governing home schooling.. These requirements differ from state to state and school district to school district. So, it would be a good suggestion to check with your local school district for their requirements.

Record KeepingRecord Keeping

A good record keeping system should reflect the subject taught, date unit or topic is taught, unit or topics related to the subject, attendance and evaluation.

Record keeping can be in a journal format, or a more complicated setup as records of daily and weekly activities and may include goals.

SchedulingScheduling

Scheduling your classes will help you organize, manage and maintain your program. A specific time should be designated for each subject as well as household chores. Parent preparation should be included in the schedule

Student learning styles can affect your schedule. Observe times when student is more alert and schedule the harder classes at that time. This will be discussed in Module II
