Disc CleaningUse a dry soft cloth to wipe the surface.If the disc is dirty, use a soft cloth slightlymoistured with isopropyl (rubbing)alcohol. Never use solvents such asbenzine, thinner or conventional recordcleaners as they may mar the surface ofthe disc.NoteA disc may become somewhat scratched(although not enough to make itunusable) depending on how you handleit and conditions in the usageenvironment. Note these scratches arenot an indication of any problem with theplayer.
Preparing New Discs with RoughSpotsA new disc may have rough edges on itsinside and outside edges. If a disc withrough edges is used, the proper settingwill not be performed and the player willnot play the disc. Therefore, remove therough edges in advance by using a ballpoint pen or pencil as shown below. Toremove the rough edges, press the sideof the pen or pencil against the insideand outside edges of the disc.

Preparing the Remote Control
Inserting the Batteries1. Open the battery compartment cover.2. Insert the new batteries. Make sure
that the positive and negative terminals of the batteries are orientedas indicated.
3. Close the coverBattery: one button cell lithium battery, CR2025.
Using the Remote ControlPoint the remote control towards thebase of the unit.Operation angle: About ± 30 degrees ineach the direction of the base of the unit.
LOADING/EJECTING A DISC
Ejecting a DiscPress (EJECT) button (3) to eject thedisc.
To Play the Integrated Video Game:
1. To turn on the infrared wirelesscontroller, press the RESET button.
2. Press SOURCE unitil “INTERNALGAME” appears on the screen.
3. Use the arrow keys to select a gameon the video game controller.
4. Press the START button on the gamecontroller.
Loading a DiscWhen you have installed the unit and allconnections have completed, you canload a disc as follows:1. Press the OPEN button (1), to release
and turn on the monitor.2. Insert the disc with printed side facing
up into the disc slot (2).3. The player will start playback

OPERATION
BASIC PLAYSTOPPING PLAY- Briefly press the (Stop) button to stop
the unit playback, when the (Play)button is pressed, normal playback willcontinue.
- Press (Stop) button twice to stop theplayback and go back to initial Track/Chapter.
RAPID FORWARD/RAPID REVERSEPress / during play. Each time thebutton is pressed, the speed of rapidforward/reverse changes according to thedisc as follow.DVD:
VCD/CD:
MP3:
SKIPPING TRACKPress / buttons on the remotecontrol during playback.Press to skip to next track, and to back one track.
PAUSEPressing on the remote control or onthe front panel of the DVD unit duringplayback will stop play temporarily. Toreturn to normal playback, press on theremote control or on the front panel.
MUTEPress the button on the remote controlwill mute the sound, but the disc continuesplaying. When you unmute the sound(press the button again) the sound willresume.
REPEATFOR DVD:Press REPEAT button to select repeatmode as follow.
Normal Playback 2X 4X 6X 8X
FOR VCD/CD:Press the REPEAT button to select repeatmode as follow.
1. Continuously repeat at the current chapter/track, when selected REP-ONE mode.
2. Select REP-ALL mode to continuouslyrepeat all chapter/track on the currentdisc.
3. When the player finishes playback thelast chapter/track, it will stop anddisplay the elapsed time. WhenREPEAT OFF mode is selected, REP-ONE & REP-ALL disappears fromscreen display.
4. REPEAT feature does not support VCD2.0 (with PBC ON).
DISC MENUPressing the DISC MENU will show theDVD DISC MENU if a DVD is installed.
DISC ZOOMAllows the picture to be incresed in size.Press DISC ZOOM to toggle among 1.5scale, 2.0 scale and 3.0 scale.During Zoom mode, press / , / buttons to move pictures up, down, leftor right direction.
RANDOM (CD only)Press RANDOM button, track selectionwill be made in random order. The displayscreen will show “SHUFFLE ON” on thescreen. Press RANDOM button again,“SHUFFLE OFF” appears and release themode.
MODE SELECTIONPress MODE button on the front panel ofthe unit or MODE button on the remotecontrol to select among DVD/AUX mode(for GAME version will select amongDVD/GAME/AUX mode ).
LIGHT SWITCHThe two car dome lamps on the unit willbe on in some needed situations. Thereare two settings for the car dome lampoperation. Refer to the light switch.State 1: To make the lamp turn on only

Press / button repeatedly to selectamong BRIGHTNESS, CONTRAST,COLOR,TINT (For the unit with NTSCsystem) . Press / buttons on theremote control to adjust thecorresponding item.
ON-SCREEN DISPLAY FUNCTIONPress the INFO button during playbackto display the contents of the currentdisc on the screen.Example:

INSTALLATION
1. Determine the mounting location and drill four mounting holes on the ceiling (SeeFig.1).
2. Attach the mounting bracket (A) to the mounting holes on the ceiling with screwsmatching with the screw holes on the bracket (A).
3. Install the ring to the DVD unit with screws.

REPLACING THE CAR DOME LAMP
There are two car dome lamps on the DVD unit. Follow the directions shown belowfor a new lamp changing.1. Be sure the lamp is off. Push back the lamp cover and open it.2. Remove and discard the old lamp.3. Install a new bulb.4. Close the cover.

If it appears that your DVD unit is faulty,first consult this checklist. It may be thatsomething simple has been overlooked.
Under no circumstances should youtry to repair the player yourself, as thiswill void the warranty. Only qualifiedservice personnel can remove the coveror service this player.
NO POWER• Check the fuse to the system.• Check to see if the vehicle voltage is
above 11V DC.
NO PICTURE• Check if the mode is set to proper
state, such as DVD mode, TV modeand AV mode.
DISTORTED PICTURE• Check the disc for fingerprints and
clean with soft cloth, wiping from centerto edge.
• Sometimes a small amount of picturedistortion may appear. This is not amalfunction.
COMPLETELY DISTORTED PICTURE• The disc format is not according to the
TV-set used (PAL/NTSC).
NO COLOR IN PICTURE• The disc format is not according to the
TV-set used (PAL/NTSC).
DISC DOES NOT PLAY• Ensure the disc label is upwards.• Clean the disc.• Check the mute status.
NO SOUND• Check the batteries in the headphones.• Check audio connections.
NO RETURN TO START-UP SCREENWHEN DISC IS REMOVED• Press POWER to turn off the unit, then
press it again to turn on the unit.
THE PLAYER DOES NOT RESPOND TOTHE REMOTE CONTROL• Aim the remote control directly at the
sensor on the front of the player.• Avoid all obstacles which may interfere
with the signal path.• Inspect or replace the remote control
batteries.
BUTTONS DO NOT WORK• Turn the player off and on with the
power on/off button on the front of theplayer.
