• Low self-esteem is having a generally negative overallopinion of oneself, judging or evaluating oneselfnegatively, and placing a general negative value ononeself as a person.
• A person with low self-esteem probably says a lot ofnegative things about themselves.
• They might criticise themselves, their actions, andabilities or joke about themselves in a very negative way.
• They might put themselves down, doubt themselves, orblame themselves when things go wrong.
• Often, they might not recognise their positive qualities
