Dear distinguished members and colleagues,
We are pleased and honoured to welcome you to the 8th National and 1st International Congress of Hydatidology which to be held in Hitit University in Çorum/TURKEY on April 14-16, 2017.
The proposal for making the 8th National Congress of Hydatidology to be held at Hitit University in Corum was assessed by our Association’s Board of Directors and with the great efforts of Prof. Dr. Aysegul TAYLAN OZKAN who is a member of our association and head of the Department of Microbiology at Medical Faculty of Hitit University.
Echinococcosis is one of the most important helminthic diseases due to its adverse effects on both human and animal health and also inducement of economic loses in Turkey. So we strongly believe that our congress involving the recent developments will be very profitable and contribute a lot to the solutions of human and animal health issues in Turkey and also will be very instructive and indicative especially for the young researchers.
Hereby, we would like to thank to Rector of Hitit University Prof. Dr. Reha Metin ALKAN and Dean of Hitit University Medical Faculty Prof. Dr. Mete DOLAPÇI for giving us all the support in this congress organization. We think that this congress will be a very prolific exchange of information with participation of national and international participants through the sessions, conferences and proceedings in which all issues associated with echinococcosis, a disease that has been one of the most serious health and economic problems of Turkey for a long time.
On the behalf of the organizing committee and the board of the directors, I would like to express our happiness to be with you in this scientific and social sharing environment, please accept the assurances of our highest consideration.

• The congress will be held in the convention Center of the Vocational College at Hitit University
• Scientific programme will include conferences, round tables, panels, oral and poster presentations.
• Suggested poster sizes: 70x100 cm. Oral presentations will be prepared in the Power Point program and will take place 10 minutes including discussion
• Language will be English and Turkish.

The deadline for the submission of Abstracts is March 15, 2017. All accepted abstracts will be published in the Congress and Abstracts Book (in USB).The instructions for the submission of abstracts ;1. The abstract must be submitted in English.2. The name of the presenting author should be underlined.3. The abstract text may not be longer than 3000 characters.4. The title should accurately, clearly, and concisely reflect the importance and content of the study. Capital letters should be used unless the terms that must be written with lowercase letters are included.5. Abbreviations are allowed only when the spelled-out version was written initially in the text for the first time.6. The abstract should be structured according to the following headings:ObjectiveMethodsResultsConclusion7. Abstracts should not include tables, graphs, references or key words.8.
