Women’s Luncheon at Gabriel’s Welcomes Former Supreme Court Jus�ce

The Castle Rock Chamber’s Women of Influence Luncheon Series provides opportuni�es and a ven-ue for women leaders to network, share their best insights and business prac�ces, and foster connec-�ons with others. Each quarterly luncheon will address a par�cular key issue and solu�ons to women's advancement. We are pleased to welcome Former Colorado Supreme Court Jus�ce and IAALS Execu�ve Director, Rebecca Love Kourlis as our guest speaker at this quarter’s luncheon. Rebecca Love Kourlis served Colorado’s courts for nearly two decades—first as a trial court judge and then as a Jus$ce of the Colo-rado Supreme Court. In January 2006, she established the Ins$tute for the Advancement of the American Legal System (IAALS) at the University of Denver, where she is execu$ve director. IAALS is a na�onal, non-par�san organiza�on dedicated to improving the process and cul-ture of the American civil jus�ce system. The Ins�tute conducts research and develops poli-cy recommenda�ons in the areas of civil jus-�ce reform, civil case management, judicial selec�on and judicial performance evalua�on. Her work at the helm of IAALS is resolute in its focus on con$nuous improvement of the American legal system, and a logical off-shoot of her accomplishments on the bench where

she spearheaded significant reforms in the judicial system. Jus$ce Kourlis earned a B.A. in English from Stanford University with dis$nc$on and a J.D. from Stanford University Law School. Over the course of her career, Jus$ce Kourlis has received numerous individual honors. With all of these accomplishments and the umpteen others, Ms. Kourlis is an ideal candidate to empower and inspire others.
