10 persons spent Rs. 35 each. 11th
spent Rs. 20 more than average of
all. How much money was spent?Money spent by 10 = 35*10 =350.
Let us assume their average to be X.
X = [350 +(X+20)] / 11
11X = 350+X+20
10X = 370 or X = 37.
Thus money spent by 11th is 57. thus total
money spent is 350+57 = 407 answer.

is ?Let us find factors of 6125:
= 5*5*5*7*7.
Thus we have three 5 and two 7. In orderto make it cube, we shall multiply it by 7.

average of first 5 is 30 and that of
last 3 is 60. find the forth number, ifit is 17 more than 5th number.
Total of first 5= 150
Total of last 3 = 180 thus their total is330 Fifth number has been countedtwice.
Total of 7 numbers is : 315. 5th number is : 330-315 =1 5.Thus fourth number is 15+17 = 32
answer.

of 6 members was 21 years. A baby
was born in between and theaverage age of family increased by 3
years. What is the age of baby?
Total age of family 6 years back = 6*21 =126. Add 6*6 in it = 126+36 = 162
However, their total age is : 7*24=168.
Thus the age of baby is : 168-162 = 6years.

between the numbers:
The difference is 73-39 = 3490-73 = 17.
Find HCF of 17 &34 = 17

What remainder will you get
when you divide 2^63 by 5? Unit digits in power of 2 are as under: 2^1 = 2, 2^2 = 4, 2^3 = 8, 2^4 = 16, 2^5 = 32,
2^6=64, 2^7 = 128 or 8 2,4,8,6,2,4,8,6, and so on when the power is
1,2,3,4,5, and so on. The power repeatsafter every 4 digits. Divide 63 by 4, we get 3as remainder. At 3rd level we have
remainder 8. Thus when power will be 63,unit digit will be 8. thus remainer will be 8-5= 3 answer.

order. 13 divided by 4 gives remainder 1

Solution: when we assume value of X = 2,
and Y = 1, the equation is divisible by 13.similarly, when we take value of X = 4 and Y
= 2, the equation is divisible by 13.
4X+7Y +9 is divisible by 13 with the values
X = 4 and Y =2. (thus this is answer).

Let us assume amount is Rs. 1000. Bankers discount = 1000*10*5/100 = 500 True discount = amt present value Present value = (1000*100) / (100+10*5)=
100000/150 = 666. thus true discount = 333. Bankers gain is 167. 1000/167*450 = 2700 Bankers discount = 2700*10*5/100 = 1350.
