8 in 1 Crochet Barbie Clothes

This pattern is worked from the top down. Starting after row 7, you can stop after any row. I have suggested 4 stopping points for different top lengths and 4 stopping points for dress lengths. It uses one-two snap fasteners in the back. Larger views of the tops and dresses are pictured below as the pattern progresses.

For this pattern, you will need to know how to single, half double, double and treble crochet, and how to chain. You should also know how to increase and decrease stitches.

You will need:• Crochet Cotton Thread (I used Circulo Clea, but you can use any brand you prefer)• 1.7mm Hook• 1-2 - 1/4" snaps, or your choice of fastener• a stitch marker

Abbreviations:ch chainsc single crochet

hdc half double crochetdc double crochettr treble crochet

How to dc 2 sts together:(yarn over, stick hook into stitch, yarn over and draw yarn through stitch, yarn over and draw yarn through 2 loops) repeat again in next stitch, then yarn over and draw through all 3 loops.

Instructions:

ch 54, pull tight, turn.

row 1:in back loops: sc in 2nd ch from hook and in next 11 ch, hdc, dc, tr 3, dc, hdc, sc 18, hdc, dc, tr 3, dc , hdc, sc 9, ch 1, pull tight, turn.

(53 st)

row 2: sc 9, ch 4, skip 7 sts, sc 18, ch 4, skip 7 sts, sc 12, ch 1, pull tight, turn. (47 st)

row 3: sc 4, (dc 2 sts together) x 2, tr 12, (dc 2 sts together) x 2, sc 2, (dc 2 sts together) x 2, tr 12, (dc 2 sts together) x 2, sc, ch 1, pull tight, turn. (39 st)

row 4-5: sc 39, ch 1, pull tight, turn.

row 6: sc 6, 2tog, sc 2, 2tog, sc 12, 2tog, sc 2, 2tog, sc 9, ch 1, pull tight, turn. (35 st)row 7: sc 6, 2tog, sc 6, 2tog, sc 6, 2tog, sc 6, 2tog, sc 3, ch 1, pull tight, turn. (31 st)

Can stop after row 7 for the first top. (See Top A)

row 8: sc 31, ch 1, pull tight, turn. (31 st)row 9: sc 6, 2tog, sc 4, 2tog, sc 6, 2tog, sc 4, 2tog, sc 3, ch 1, pull tight, turn. (27 st)

row 10-12: sc 27, ch 1, pull tight, turn.

Can stop after row 12 for the second top. (See Top B)

row 13: sc 6, scinc, sc 4, scinc, sc 6, scinc, sc 4, scinc, sc 3, ch 1, pull tight, turn. (31 st)row 14-16: sc 31, ch 1, pull tight, turn.

row 17: sc 6, scinc, sc 6, scinc, sc 6, scinc, sc 6, scinc, sc 3, ch 1, pull tight, turn. (35 st)row 18-20: sc 35, ch 1, pull tight, turn.

Can stop after row 16 for the third top. (See Top C)

rnd 21:with right side out, overlap the 2 sides so that right side is on top of of the left side of the top by 3 sts. skipping the first 2 sts of row, scinc into 4th st, scinc x 28, scinc together last 3 sts with first 3 sts skipped, sl st in first st of rnd.

(64 st)

Can stop after rnd 21 for fourth top. (See Top D)

From here, you will want to mark the first stitch of the rnd to keep track where the beginning of the rnd is.

rnd 22: ch 3, (tr 4, dc 4) x 7, tr 4, dc 3, sl st join to 3rd ch. ch 1, pull tight. (64 st)rnd 23: (sc, ch 3, sc, ch 5, skip 2 st) x 16. (16 ch 3

spaces & 16 ch 5 spaces)

rnd 24: (sc in first st of ch 3, ch 3, skip next st, sc in last st of ch 3, ch 5, skip ch 5 section) x 16.

(16 ch 3 spaces & 16 ch 5 spaces)rnd 25+: repeat rnd 24 until you reach desired length, f/o.

(16 ch 3 spaces & 16 ch 5 spaces)

Weave in ends and sew on snaps or your choice of fasteners.
