    7.0 MAINTENANCE

    7.1 Introduction

This section describes the maintenance procedure of the traffic signal head installed

in the tunnel for both Free Trade Zone and Midfield Access Road Tunnel.

    7.2 General Maintenance

This signal heads interior does not requires any cleaning. The only operation that

might becomes necessary, is the replacement of LED retrofit. Prior to any activities

ensure that the power supply/electricity is disconnected from the unit before replacing

the LEDs. The cleaning of the outside is done with water (if needed use liquid soap)

and a clean rag for the optic.

    7.3 Replacing the LED Retrofit

    a) The nylon string should be fitted into the groove around the circumference of

    the rubber gasket.

    b) The nylon string should be crossed over at the part of the lens marked TOP.

It should be pulled to the middle, then place the lens holder on top of the

    lens.

    d) Pull each of the nylon strings alternatively in a symmetrical pattern so as to

    avoid turning the lens.

    e) Before beginning to pull the nylon string, all parts (210 as well as 300) should
