Greetingsof the seasonellow 765ers,We hopeyou andyour families are well andhaving a happyholiday season.How was yourThanksgiving? Bob's nephew,wife andtwo darling boys from Illinois cameout to visit us.They stayedat the beautiful GreenValley RanchHotel and casinohere n Henderson'which isabout7 minutes rom our house.We had our Thanksgiving dinner at the hotels' abundantbuffet. This was the first time in 56years hat Audrey didn't cook our Thanksgivingdinner. So it was truly a holiday for all of us.But, we suremissed he leftovers he next day. We were"on the go" constantlywhile they werehere! Showingthem the surroundingarea,Mt. Charlestonandthe Valley of Fire. It wasgoodexercise herapy or all of us.We were saddenedby the deathof John Breverly in November. Johnput on a "gruff' exteriorbut really was a "pussy-cat"underneath.John acquired he battalion lags throughhis contactsand made the flagpoles for them.At one of our reunions,Audrey, Dan and I stopped n at Johns'room andchattedwith him andMary. During the conversation, mentioned hat one ime, (back n Korea), I was n the kitchenon the night rhin and someonesiune up to me and asked or a sandwich. I madehim an eggsandwictr,a little while later, he cameback with a suit of fatigues for me in gratitude for thesandwich,as he was a SuPPlySgLJohnpipedup andsaid o me, "you *@@l!, dummy", thatwasme'Audrey, Dan and I wish you all a blessed,happy andhealthyyear ahead,our love to you all!Audrey, Bob andDan

All bookswere present or auditand declared

correct and in order. The treasurer'sreport was acceptedand approvedas readby all- All correspondencewas read.OLD BUSINESS: Any address hanges, honenumbers,areacodes,etc.shouldbe reported o

the Sec./Trea.,Bill Hill as soonas possible,and o the newseditor,Bob Kalan'NEW BUSINESS: The 765'hTRSB hada ls thisyear. Al l members nd spouses ere n

attendanceor the yearly meeting.We had an excellentReunion. Evenwith only 32 present, his was a happy,fun reunion' Many

thanks were extended o Lanny Tayloe for his excelleni proiessional way of handling the Reunion' Thiswas appreciated Yall.The Reunion sites are drastically changing the way they handle the Reunionsnow. Due to this, we

have found it necessary o make some h*g"r in tto* we accessour members or the Reunions'As a resultof the new hotel anrj our line changes,we ran into someserious inancial problems

this year. Billie Hill addressedall present at our wednesday morning meetingand explained to them that

this year we had to guarantee in writing back in early August) that we would have 50 present o get therateswe got. we haveonly had less han 50 presentonce,and hat was our lst meeting n st' Louis' Well'we had only 32 present his year. you can seewhat that did to our treasury. we had 1op"y for 18guaranteed,but not attending, fo, evervthiqfl, hotel banquet, and}tours- We realized we were in the redbefore the reunion started. on, ofiffi6-rrs pitched in and covered everything we didn't have moneyfor. we hoped the auction, raffle, and bingo would cover it. There were 2 or 3 that did not pay until theyarrived. We knew we now had start on ,rJou"ry. we addedBingo to our program for the first time thisyearas an addedentertainment or the lull time. Man, was his a success.Everyone oved it and t was acodsend. It helped remendouslyon picking up someslackand added en fold on the fun and fellowshipeachevening.

After Billie's explanationof our treasury,a lengthydiscussionwas held and he majority present,both men and women made he following recommendations.

L A deposit or full payment must be madeby eachmember attending90 day before kickoffdate.2. Full payment must be made 30 daysbefore reunion date.3. ln caseof a cancellation ,no moneywill be refundeduntil after.the req,nion.and hen only iffundsare available.our group doesnot want to put any reunion coordinators n any awkward positions without money to coverall expenses.

GA. -. 2006Saturdayarrived and Billand I was already packed.The Reunion is in Atlanta,so lets hit the track.Three hours later we werechecked n,To the chantof familiar voices"where haveyou been".Our accommodationswere a Plus andthe hospitality room set up was top hat-None of the othershavecome close o that.With the hospitality room set uPand the registration ables ooking fine,We were ready for arrivals,as heir names hey did sign.Our number was small butthe enthusiasm hey did show.They were ready to have fun andlet everythingelsego.We addedBingo to the'hospitality room this year.MBn, his was really enjoyedby everyone here.We needed he revenue and theyneededa leisurelypace.This surelyput a smile oneveryone's ace.Monday arrived and we boardedthe bus

for Roswell,and the historic Smith Plantation.A time back in history we capturedbencath he radiant Georgiasun.From Roswell we went to the SouthernHistory Museum o see he "Great LncomotiveChase".As "The General" and "The Texas" (trains)pickedup the pace.

The Railroad Museum was interestingto me for whenThe Generalwas stationed n Chattanoog4 Tn,.we did often see.Wednesday,another side of the locomotiveDrama we were destinedto see.The Cyclorama exhibited "The Texas"for all to see.

Tuesdaywas ust relaxingwith nothing muchplanned.Tonight our annual dinner and auctionwas taking top hand.The silent auction was a big treat

and the auction went fast.Then backto bingo we wentwhich was alwaysa blast.Our tour of the Cyclorama (a must see)CocaCola plant & UndergroundAtlantawas anticipatedand enjoyedby all.Then somereturned to the hotel and bingowhile the otherswatched the Bravesplay ball.Thursday wheredid the time go) wenow had to say our farewellsOnce againwe return homewith our many tales.

I don't remember nyoneevergettinge.coli.The termcell phonewould haveconjuredup aphone n ajail cell andapagerwasthe schoolpasystemWe used o sayprayers n schooland sing the NationalAnthem.If you did somethingwrong in school,you stayed n detentionafterschoolWe played "king of the hill" on piles of gravelon vacantconstructionsites. When we got hurt,Mom took out the 48 centbottleof Mercurochromeanda band-aidand hen we got spanked.Now, it's atrip to the Emergencyoom followed by a 10- day supplyof a $49bottleofantibiotics hen Mom calls an attorney o sue he contractor or leavingsuch a "horribly vicious"pile of gravel where t could be a threat.
