S The installation procedures are the removal procedures in reverse order.

S A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart (see page 032).

1. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH(a) Remove the 4 screws.

(b) Partially remove the fender liner.

HINT:

It is not necessary to fully remove the fender liner completely.

Partially remove it so that the bumper cover can be removed in

step (3).

2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RHHINT:

Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

3. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER

(a) Put protective tape under the front fender.

(b) Remove the 2 radiator grille protectors and 5 screws.

(c) Using a screwdriver, disengage the 8 clips.

HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(d) w/ Fog lamp:

Disconnect the 2 fog lamp connectors.

(e) Engage the 4 claws.

(1) Hold the front bumper on its upper and lower partswith your hands as shown in the illustration.

(2) Pull up the front bumpers lower part while holding

its upper part securely.

NOTICE:

S Securely hold the front bumpers upper part, other-

wise the claw will not be disengaged.

S Forcibly pulling up the front bumper will deform the

claw.

S When replacing the spoiler, heat the body and spoiler using a heat light.

1. REMOVE REAR BUMPER COVER

(a) Put protective tape under the quarter panel.

(b) Remove the 2 screws and 2 stoppers.

(c) Remove the clip, screw and side spoiler LH.

(d) Remove the nut, clip and side spoiler RH.(e) Using a clip remover, remove the 4 clips.

(f) Disengage the 10 claws labeled A and 2 claws labeled B.

HINT:


(g) Engage the claw.

(1) Hold the rear bumper on its upper and lower parts

with your hands as shown in the illustration.

(2) Pull up the rear bumpers lower part while holding

its upper part securely.

NOTICE:

S Securely hold the rear bumpers upper part, other-

12. INSTALL REAR NO.1 SPOILER

(a) Clean the bumper surface.

(1) Using a heat light, heat the bumper surface.

(2) Remove the doublesided tape from the bumper.

(3) Wipe off the stains with cleaner.

NOTICE:Do not heat the spoiler excessively.

(b) If reusing No. 1 spoiler:

Clean the No.1 spoiler.

(1) Remove the doublesided tape from the No. 1 spoiler.


(3) Apply new doublesided tape to the No. 1 spoiler, as shown in the illustration.

(c) Install the No. 1 spoiler.

(1) Using a heat light, heat the bumper and No. 1 spoiler..

(2) Remove the peeling paper from the face of the No. 1 spoiler.

NOTICE:


HINT:

After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from dirt and other contaminants.

(c) Install the side spoiler.

(1) Using a heat light, heat the bumper and side spoiler.

NOTICE:

Do not heat the body and moulding excessively.

1. REMOVE ROOF DRIP SIDE FINISH MOULDING(a) Put protective tape around the edges of the moulding.

(b) Using a moulding remover, disengage the mouldings

front and rear end clips from the vehicle. Remove the

moulding.

NOTICE:

S Do not remove the clips from vehicle body.

S If the clips are damaged or removed accidentally, re-

place them.

2. INSTALL ROOF DRIP SIDE FINISH MOULDING CLIP

HINT:

Use the following steps (a) to (c) only when replacing the clips.

(a) Remove the tape that remains on the mounting surface

of the body, and then clean the surface with white gaso-

line.

(b) Heat the clip installation surfaces of the body and mould-

ing.

(c) Install new clips in the positions shown in the illustration.

Pressfit the clips by hand.

NOTICE:

After pressfitting the clips, wait 30 minutes or more beforeinstalling the moulding.

HINT:

S Minimum hardening time: 30 minutes

S Time needed for complete hardening: 24 hours

illustration stretches.

(2) Turn the clip marked A in the illustration 90 degrees

and remove the pillar garnish.

(d) w/ Curtain shield airbag:

Protect the curtain shield airbag LH.

(1) Thoroughly cover the airbag with cloth or nylon of

700 mm (27.56 in.) x 120 mm (4.72 in.) and fix the

ends of the cover with adhesive tape, as shown in

the illustration.

NOTICE:

Cover the curtain shield airbag with the protection cover as

soon as the pillar garnish is removed.
