The patent is for the use of crab/shrimp/lobster shells and/or fungal matter which releases a non-polluting fertilizer compatible with USDA certified organic farming which uses an enzyme called chitinase to release the fertilizer from the biomass. The same enzyme produced also has insecticide and fungicide effects simultaneously. Thus the technology reduces groundwater pollution while eliminating or reducing the need for synthetic chemical pesticides.• The technology allows for more sustainable agriculture practices

while eliminating food and soil pollution by synthetic chemicals.

• The market for organic and natural produce is growing and highly profitable.

• The process is carried out onsite in a simple open fermenter or the liquid can be frozen for transport and packaging. The broth must be fresh to be effective. Revenues would come from licensing larger entities, and from raw material mark-up.

• To make pesticide claims, EPA validation and approval is required and takes 2 hears to obtain. Each claim costs $175,000 for a total of $350,000.

• The fertilizer claim can generate revenues immediately while waiting for the EPA approval.

Income from licensing would be based on fertilizer use, and pesticide use for a given entity. It would easily be in the six to seven figure range per industrial farm. A small garden unit for home use could also be sold at a profit, and raw material re-supply would provide income continuity. The easiest raw material would be shrimp meal, but can also be crab shells, and even dried fungal matter.

• Sale price $2.4million dollars

• Exclusive license $750,000 up front plus 3% of net revenues.

• EPA certification would allow for higher sale price, but would add $350,000 to capital requirements.
