    Now, as you sink deeper and deeper, completely relaxed, I'm going to talk about tension,

    anxiety and fear. How unnecessary tese feelings are and ow you, yourself, are going toeliminate tem. !en we come down wit a cold, te general emotion we feel is

    incon"enience. Incon"enience, because you miss work, a"e little or no energy to accomplis

    daily tasks, and in general # tis cold $ust trows a wrenc into our life. %e same olds true

    for anxiety, tension and fear. %ese are also incon"eniences. If we go to work full of tension

    and anxiety, our work performance drops and it can cause tension among co#workers and

    make te day "ery uncomfortable. %ension is te opposite of relaxation and if tense or

    ner"ous our energy is sapped and we go troug te day yawning and looking at te clock.

    &motional tension drains our minds of muc needed energy to accomplis te most tri"ial

    tasks. If fearful, we tend to slip into depression, bringing on tese tensions and anxieties once

    again. %ension, anxiety and fear are as muc incon"enience as a cold, if not more. %ension,

    anxiety and fear also bring on oter incon"enience, te main one being illness and disease.ur immune system will not work for us properly if its bombarded wit negati"e energy.

    (our body in"oluntarily responds almost immediately to wate"er crosses your mind. %ink a

    pleasant tougt and you smile. %ink a melancoly tougt and you feel sad. %ink an angry

    tougt and you frown. %ink an embarrassing tougt and you blus. %ink a fearful tougt

    and you tense. )ut tension cannot exist wen te mind is calm. If we replace tougts of fear

    wit tougts of calm and peace, our tension soon subsides and our minds ealing power

    continues working for us. In essence, we are wat we tink. ne of te most important

    medical findings is tat te stress of inner conflicts suppress te body's defense system, wic

    ten becomes unable to figt off disease. Also, keep in mind tat te body and mind are a

    single integrated organism. As te saying goes *(ou a"e noting to fear but fear itself*. (ou

    system can concentrate only on being strong and powerful against any disease.

    difference, !e use te same words, but tere's a difference. And e"en te )ible says *6all no

    man your fater on tis eart $ust for fear of tat one ting tat tey migt be confused.*

    5egarding your deficiency of ego, we're going to build it up, from tis moment on you're

    going to tink well of yourself in e"ery way. (ou're going to be surprised and ama+ed at wat

    a better person you are, not so muc because of wat you do but because of wat you areByour composition, te fact tat you are ... 0rom tis moment on it is important to completely

    re#educate you, to get rid of te abit pattern because you finised wit te relaxation and you

    deeper and deeper ... And your alcoolic problem "anises lea"ing you sound in mind, sound

    in spirit, sound in body and sound in ealt.

    Alcool Session II

    As you go deeper and deeper relaxed all of te sounds fade away in te distance and you pay

    attention only to te sound of my "oice. As you listen carefully to te sound of my "oice, we

    are going to remo"e a number of suggestions wic a"e been in your mind. !e are going to

    remo"e tem completely and as you listen carefully to tem we're simply going to dissol"e

    tem ... trow tem out of your mind completely and fore"er ... Noting disturbs you and

    noting boters you and noting can distract you in any way from listening to te sound of

    my "oice ... and from completely accepting e"eryting I tell you ... for e"eryting I tell you is

    te absolute trut to you ... and we're going to remo"e all suggestions from your mind tata"e been detrimental to you in te past. %e first suggestion you ad in your mind is tat

    someow or anoter tat alcool, a bottle, as been of some use to you. Drinking alcool is of

    no use to you and you know it. (ou're troug drinking alcool for any reason. It doesn't

    make you relax, it doesn't make you sleep well, it doesn't do anyting for you. As a matter of

    fact it ruins your efficiency ... and conse3uently you're troug wit it. %e fact tat alcool

    as e"er been beneficial to you in any way is completely remo"ed from your mind. I am

    going to count to fi"e and tat suggestion is completely remo"ed from your mind ne"er to

    return. ne, %wo, %ree, 0our, 0i"e. %e next suggestion tat you may a"e accepted is tat

    alcool is a good means of punising yourself. In te first place, you're troug punising

    yourself and in te second place you're troug using alcool as a means to do it. %e only

    reason anyone e"er punises imself is because somewere deep in is mind e feels guilty

    and you're troug allowing yourself to feel guilty. And so wit one count we're going to

    remo"e te guilt, wate"er it is and from wate"er source te punisment, te need for

    punisment, and tat alcool could be used as a "eicle to acie"e it. ne. %wo. %ree. 0our.

    0i"e. %ose ideas are all gone. Alcool to you is a poison and a lousy inefficient poison at tat

    ... $ust enoug poison to make you sick and ineffecti"e. )ut ten you're troug poisoning

    yourself and you're troug using alcool and so tat need is also remo"ed from your mind.

    ne. %wo. %ree. 0our. 0i"e. Now we're going to remo"e any and all connection tat alcool

    as in your mind. %e only kind of alcool tat you care about or know anyting about

    anymore is rubbing alcool. And te only use it wic you put rubbing alcool is to rub it on

    you. %at's wonderful for tat. It's a nice back rub. %at's all it means to you. As a be"erageit's out. And so you remo"e all connections in your mind tat a"e to do wit alcool as a

    be"erage or any be"erage containing alcool, so tat you don't e"en tink of it, you don't ask

    for it, you don't desire it, you don't want it, you don't need it, you don't desire it in any form.

    &"en if offered it, you'd refuse it, because you tink of it as disgusting, foul tasting and "omit

    producing. And so te negati"e suggestions are now remo"ed from your mind and tose

    suggestions wic i a"e gi"en you now replace tem. At te count of fi"e. ne. %wo. %ree.

    0our. 0i"e. 0rom tis moment on you are free, free from te alcool, free from it's entangling

    octopus like tentacles, free from it's degrading self#punising nature, free from from its

    ruination, free from it's ability to wreck your life. (ou're completely free because all te

    connections in your mind wit te alcool be"erages a"e been completely remo"ed. %e

    wires a"e been pulled out and you are unable to restore tem e"en if you sould want to. Custimagine tat a big telepone switcboard exists in your ead and tat we pulled out all of te

    noting will appen. (ou don't want it. (ou can't buy it. (ou don't drink it and if offered

    your stomac to e"en tink about it. ne. %wo. %ree. 0our. 0i"e. Now you are going to be

    completely successful in e"ery way and surprised and ama+ed at te self discipline and

    confidence tat you a"e in yourself knowing tat you'"e licked te problem and tat it willstay licked. Now sleep. Sleep deeply. And your mind concentrates on te sound of my "oice

    Alcool Session III

    Now as you sink deeper and deeper relaxed all of te sounds fade away in te distance. (ou

    pay no attention to any oter sound but te sound of my "oice. (ou sink deeper and deeper

    wit e"ery breat you take. Deeper and deeper and deeper, way down, deeper and deeper

    relaxed. In te past alcool may a"e been to you someting tat meant life. In your mind you

    may a"e accepted a suggestion tat alcool sa"es your life or alcool protects you frombeing in$ured, alcool is good for you in some manner or anoter. )ut tat was yesterday and

    we are in te future. All tat was yesterday, because alcool may a"e protected you from

    in$ury in te past, it could a"e e"en sa"ed your life. Alcool to some people is a medicine so

    terribly necessary. And tose suggestions may a"e been good suggestions at one time, but

    tey a"e outli"ed teir usefulness and if any of tose suggestions are present to any degree in

    your mind,tey are completely remo"ed as of now. And tat suggestion takes complete and

    toroug effect upon your mind, body and spirit. Now to oter people alcool means deat.

    It's a way of punising oneself. It's a poison and some people want to poison temsel"es. It's a

    metod of slow suicide. !ell, you don't need tat now. If alcool e"er meant deat and

    suicide to you and you a"e a need to punis yourself, tat need is now long gone and we

    remo"e tat suggestion. %e trut of te matter is tat alcool is $ust alcool. It's not life. It's

    not deat. As a matter of fact, it's not anyting to you anymore. It's noting, neutral feelings.

    It's a be"erage tat you don't need nor do you want. (ou'"e lost all desire for alcool in any

    operationB sometimes it appens at te time of war. It can appen almost anytime, but it's

    cry for elp and none is answering te cry. And so tey keep rigt on crying for elp by

    wee+ing because te wee+e in merely a symptom of te underlying problems still deeply

    No longer do I let my tougts o"er around a disease or illness as a pysical ting. I tink of

    eac organ as an idea of te Infinite, concei"ed before I was concei"ed. It is one separate and

    distinct idea of 2od. All of 2od's ideas are perfect. I refuse to tink of it as a"ing blot,

    blemis, or inaction. I see it as te willing ser"ant of me te tinker, and tis, my tougt, is

    now being taken up by te Fni"ersal %inker and brougt fort into actuality. Not being an

    organ but an idea, it is a perfect idea now. I do not care wat laboratories sow, I now take2od's "iew and see all of is ideas as being perfect. And it is so.

    !ate"er is blocking my complete reco"ery must be some idden strand of tougt tat

    olds some mental reser"ation. I am not aware of its nature, were it started, or wat keeps it

    acti"e. )ut it must be mine, weter I can trace my way to it or not.

    I do not want it to keep operating, terefore I now declare tat it is a "estige of my former
