Parents must be registered members of the parish.
Baptismal Instruction Class will be given after

CHURCH HOURS … for private prayer … Sundays from 8
am until 1:30 pm … weekdays from 7:30 am until 3:30 pm …
any changes will be posted on the main doors of the church.�
PRIEST VOLUNTEERS … many of the priests have
volunteered to visit hospitals for prayers and anointings as well as
saying final prayers and blessings at city morgues … however,
we have not received permissions and clearance to do these
priestly services … we offered but we understand the many issues
connected with volunteers, social distancing, infections, etc..�
MASS INTENTIONS … are being remembered by the priests in
their “private” Masses.�

ALLELUIA, ALLELUIA, ALLELUIA … hopefully you were
able to celebrate the new life and new hope that Jesus brings us
… it was a very strange and mysterious Holy Week for all of us
… not being able to celebrate our Masses, Easter Vigil with 4
fully�initiated members of the church, our Stations of the Cross
with the Youth Group and our beautiful procession with our
children on Holy Thursday was quite a sacrifice for you and for
us, the priests and deacons … however, so many acts of kindness
came forth this week … so many people calling to see if we
needed anything in the rectory … Sean and Monique doing such
a fantastic job with the bulletin and the website … Leo keeping
the church clean and disinfected … Sister Patricia and the
teachers working so hard to keep our children up to date with
their work … Ms. Christi working with the CCD students … Paul
and Sarah taking care of the rectory … and hearing so many
wonderful stories of you, heroes and heroines, in the field
keeping us safe, serving our needs and tending to the sick and
dying … all of that ��� AND MORE ��� is the new life and new
hope of Jesus … that is EASTER … ALLELUIA, ALLELUIA,

FOR YOUR INFORMATION … during these difficult days,
we have had 7 burials at St. Raymond’s Cemetery for parishion-
ers and families connected with St. Frances de Chantal … as you
know, funeral Masses are not permitted and the roadside burial
prayers at the Cemetery are very somber and sad for the 5 family
members who are allowed to attend … we are encouraging our
families to remember their beloved deceased in the future with a
Mass when a date can be set … MAY THEY ALL REST IN
PEACE. AMEN.�
THANK YOU … to all of you who are faithfully supporting the
parish with your weekly donations … some come to us on the
weekends with the envelopes and other drop their contribution in
the rectory mail slot … you can use WESHARE or in the mail to
the rectory address … we need to say thank you to the Archdio-
cese for their financial support of our unpaid bills, salaries, insur-
ances and utilities … hopefully we can get back on our own two
feet in the near future.�
REMINDER … we have a revised summer schedule for our
Masses … this was discussed with our parishioners and schedules
were voted on in August and September … the SUMMER
SCHEDULE FOR MASSES is the following: SATURDAYS at
5 pm; SUNDAYS at 8:30 am and 10:30 am in English; in Span-
ish at 12 noon … the SUMMER SCHEDULE begins on Sunday,
July 5 until Sunday, September 6 … please note for your own
calendars and schedules for the summer.�
TELEPHONE CALLS … since we are not able to visit or hos-
pitals, we have been calling our sick and homebound parishioners
… if you would like a call from one of us, call the rectory and
leave a name and number and we will be happy to make a “phone
visit” and say a prayer.�

Schools for all Families, Seniors, & Children … no questions
asked … no registration or identification is required.�

Sunday of Easter ~ DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY~ �
DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY … Saint
Pope John Paul II instituted the feast
of Divine Mercy Sunday to the entire
church when he canonized�St. Maria
Faustina Kowalska�on April 30, 2000.
The Holy Father chose the Sunday
after Easter as the date for Divine
Mercy Sunday because that is the day
after the Divine Mercy Novena ends. Many people also pray the
Divine Mercy Chaplet throughout the year, especially at 3 pm,
the time when Christ died on the Cross. �

HOW TO RECITE THE DIVINE MERCY CHAPLET …
using ordinary rosary beads of five decades … the Chaplet is
preceded by two opening prayers from the Diary of Saint
Faustina and followed by a closing prayer.�
1. Make the Sign of the Cross�
2. Optional Opening Prayers … You expired, Jesus, but the
source of life gushed forth for souls, and the ocean of mercy
opened up for the whole world. O Fount of Life, unfathomable
Divine Mercy, envelop the whole world and empty Yourself out
upon us.��
(Repeat three times)�… O Blood and Water, which gushed forth
from the Heart of Jesus as a fount of mercy for us, I trust in You!�

4. Hail Mary �
5. The Apostles’ Creed�
6. The Eternal Father … Eternal Father, I offer you the Body
and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son, Our

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PARENTS …. as you know, the
schools at this moment are closed until APRIL 30 …. you might
consider going to the DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION for the
Archdiocese and look for opportunities for financial help with
tuition …. Sister Patricia has sent home information regarding
possible financial aid programs which are coming our way
through some generous donors to the Catholic school system,
thanks to the Cardinal …. it is worth your time to investigate
what is there for you and your family.�

Members of the faithful may wish to observe Sunday as a day of

ACT OF SPIRITUAL COMMUNION … It has long been a
Catholic understanding that when circumstances prevent one
from receiving Holy Communion, it is possible to make an Act
of Spiritual Communion, which is a source of grace. Spiritual
Communion is an ardent desire to receive Jesus in the Most Holy
Sacrament and lovingly embrace him at a time or in
circumstances when one cannot receive Him in sacramental
Communion. �

DIRECTIVES FROM THE ARCHDIOCESE … Confirmations,
Baptisms, First Holy Communions, First Penance, weddings have
been postponed … Funeral Masses cannot be celebrated … wake
services in funeral homes cannot be scheduled … burials at St.
Raymond’s Cemetery are limited to 5 people in attendance …
funeral homes have been instructed to 10 visitors at a time …
these directives can be changed or modified as the situation with
the virus dictates … PRAYER AND PATIENCE.�
FOR YOUR INFORMATION:� �The Archdiocese has issued
the following guidelines to be followed by the parishes during this
crisis:�
1.�All public Masses are canceled beginning Saturday, March 14
at 4 pm UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.� This includes Sunday
Masses as well as weekdays.�
2.�Churches will remain open for private prayer (here at St.
Frances de Chantal we will have exposition of the Blessed
Sacrament during the usual hours of the church opening from 7
am until 3:30 pm)�
3.�Upon reasonable request, confessions may be heard, preferably
by "appointment" at the parish office or some other appropriate
place.�
4.�Experts advise people to be spaced 6 feet away from one
another while in church.�
5.�Parishes should continue with increased cleaning and sanitizing
efforts.� (Here at St. Frances, Leo does this on a daily basis)�
6.�The obligation to keep the Lord's Day holy can be fulfilled by
maintaining a prayerful attitude and through personal and
family prayer.� �

ST. CORONA … CORONA which
means CROWN lived in Syria and she
was martyred for the faith in about 170
AD with a companion St. Victor … both
were teenagers … there is a basilica to both of them from the

century in Anzu in North Italy where covid19 spread in
Italy these past few months … the feast day is May 14 … let
us ask her intercession as patroness of pandemics and let us
look to that date for a parish celebration … ST. CORONA,

Sunday of Easter ~ DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY~ �
PARA SU INFORMACION ... durante estos días difíciles, hemos
tenido 7 entierros en el Cementerio de San Raymond para feligreses y
familias conectadas con St. Frances de Chantal ... como saben, las
misas fúnebres no están permitidas y las oraciones funerarias en el
cementerio son muy sombrías y tristes para los 5 miembros de la
familia a los que se les permite asistir ... estamos animando a nuestras
familias a recordar a su amado difunto en el futuro con una misa en la
que se pueda fijar una fecha ... QUE TODOS DESCANSEN EN
PAZ. Amén.�
GRACIAS ... a todos los que apoyan fielmente a la parroquia con sus
donaciones semanales... algunos vienen a nosotros los fines de
semana con los sobres y otros dejan caer su contribución en la ranura
de correo de rectoría ... puede utilizar WESHARE o por correo a la
dirección de rectoría ... tenemos que dar las gracias a la Arquidiócesis
por su apoyo financiero a nuestras facturas, salarios, seguros y
servicios públicos no pagados ... esperemos que podamos volver por

nuestras Misas ... esto fue discutido con nuestros feligreses y los
horarios fueron votados en agosto y septiembre ... el HORARIO DE
VERANO PARA MASAS es el siguiente: Sábados a las 5 pm;
DOMINGO a las 8:30 am y 10:30 am en inglés; en español a las 12
del mediodía ... el HORARIO DE VERANO comienza el domingo, 5
de julio hasta el domingo, 6 de septiembre ... tenga en cuenta para sus
propios calendarios y horarios para el verano.�

los sacerdotes en sus misas "privadas". �

puertas principales de la iglesia. �
Estimados feligreses, �

hayas podido celebrar la nueva vida y la nueva
esperanza que Jesús nos trae... fue una Semana Santa
muy extraña y misteriosa para todos nosotros .. . no
poder celebrar nuestras Misas, Vigilia Pascual con 4
miembros plenamente iniciados de la iglesia, nuestras
Estaciones de la Cruz con el Grupo de la Juventud y
nuestra hermosa procesión con nuestros hijos el Jueves
Santo fue todo un sacrificio para ti y para nosotros, los
sacerdotes y diáconos... sin embargo, muchos actos de
bondad salieron esta semana ... tanta gente llamando
para ver si necesitábamos algo en la rectoría ... Sean y
Monique haciendo un trabajo fantástico con el boletín
y el sitio web ... Leo manteniendo la iglesia limpia y
desinfectada ... La hermana Patricia y los maestros que
trabajan tan duro para mantener a nuestros hijos al día
con su trabajo ... La Sra. Christi trabajando con los
estudiantes del CCD ... Pablo y Sarah cuidando de la
rectoría ... y escuchar tantas historias maravillosas de
ustedes, héroes y heroínas en el campo
manteniéndonos a salvo, sirviendo a nuestras
necesidades y atendiendo a los enfermos y

VOLUNTARIOS . . . muchos de los sacerdotes se han
ofrecido para visitar hospitales para oraciones y
unciones, así como para decir oraciones finales y
bendiciones en las morgues de la ciudad ... sin embargo,
no hemos recibido permisos y autorización para hacer
estos servicios sacerdotales ... que ofrecemos, pero
también entendemos los muchos problemas relacionados
con los voluntarios, el distanciamiento social, las
infecciones, etc. �

DOMINGO DE MERCIO DIVINA ...
El Papa Juan Pablo II instituyó la fiesta
del Domingo de la Divina Misericordia
a toda la iglesia cuando canonizó a
Santa María Faustina Kowalska el 30
de abril de 2000. El Santo Padre
escogió el domingo después de Pascua
como fecha para el Domingo de la
Divina Misericordia porque ese es el día después de que la Divina
Misericordia Novena termine. Muchas personas también rezan el
Chaplet de la Divina Misericordia durante todo el año,
especialmente a las 3 pm, el momento en que Cristo murió en la
Cruz. �

DIRECTIVAS DE LA ARCHDIOCESE . . . recibimos
directivas muy frecuentes de la Arquidiócesis sobre los
servicios y celebraciones de la iglesia .. . como saben, las
palmas no se distribuyeron el domingo pasado ... había
preocupación de que pudiera ocurrir una gran reunión y que
podría haber desacuerdos sobre quién / cómo se distr ibuyó
mucha palma ... cuando recibamos más información sobre la
distribución de la palma, le daremos esa información ...

hospitales, hemos estado llamando a nuestros feligreses enfermos y

PADRES DE ESCUELA PRIMARIA .... como saben, las escuelas en
este momento están cerradas hasta el 30 de abril .... usted podría
considerar ir al DEPARTAMENTO DE EDUCACION para la
Arquidiócesis y buscar oportunidades de ayuda financiera con la
matrícula .... La hermana Patricia ha enviado a casa información sobre
posibles programas de ayuda financiera que se acercan a través de
algunos generosos donantes al sistema escolar católico, gracias al
cardenal .... vale la pena su tiempo para investigar lo que hay allí para
usted y su familia.�

PARA SU INFORMACIÓN … La Arquidiócesis ha emitido las
siguientes pautas a seguir por las parroquias durante este tiempo de
crisis:�
1.� Todas las Misas públicas se cancelan a partir del sábado 14 de
marzo a las 4 pm HASTA AVISO ADICIONAL. Esto incluye
misas dominicales y entre semana.�
2.� .Las iglesias permanecerán abiertas para la oración privada (aquí
en St. Frances de Chantal tendremos una exposición del
Santísimo Sacramento durante las horas habituales de apertura
de la iglesia desde las 7 am hasta las 3:30 pm)�
3.� A solicitud razonable, se pueden escuchar confesiones,
preferiblemente por "cita" en la oficina de la parroquia o en
algún otro lugar apropiado.�
4.� Los expertos aconsejan que las personas se separen entre 6 pies
de distancia una de otra mientras están en la iglesia.�
5.� 7. Las parroquias deben continuar con mayores esfuerzos de
limpieza y desinfección. (Aquí en St. Frances, Leo hace esto a
diario)�
6.� La obligación de mantener el Día del Señor se puede cumplir
manteniendo una actitud de oración y mediante la oración
personal y familiar. Gracias a Sean Mota, hay una gran cantidad
