Journeyman Lineman is preferred but Apprentice Lineman would be considered
with power line schooling. This is a full-time position with benefits.
*Performs the work required in the construction and repair of electric overhead an underground distribution system.
*Operates a variety of mechanical equipment including; line trucks, digger derrick, end loader, boring machine, locating equipment and potholer.
*Performs forestry and vegetation management work.*Must be a qualified Journeyman Lineman (or have power line school and
be able to complete the Line Mechanic Apprenticeship Program under the direction of HMU and IAMU).
*Must have and maintain a valid Iowa driver’s license and have, or acquire, a Class A Commercial Driver’s License with air brake endorsement.
*This is an emergency response position – Employee must be able to arrive at customer’s premises within 30 minutes or less following a call-out.
Must meet and follow all drug and alcohol guidelines including a post-offer pre-employment drug screen. Background check required.
