Construction Update

Greetings to all. The construction has roared off toa great start. After clearing the area of grass andplants, dirt was brought in and compacted to a proper

density. This needs to be done in order to preventerosion and “settling” of the building when completed.Support footings have been dug to the proper depth;the metal support work has been inserted and con-crete poured. The connection to the existing sewerand drain system has taken place with various plumb-ing and underground connections accomplished. The“floor” concrete slab will be poured in July.

There will be lots of activity and I urge you to takea peek at the photos in the main lobby area for thevery latest. Also, sign up to attend “Tea & Talk” onJuly 12 at 4pm. Construction Project Manager MarkCrouch and Environmental Services Director RonByers will join me to answer your questions about theproject.
