Private Airports:-Airport under this category are independently owned, with
most welcoming the visiting pilot.
Airports Of Entry (AOEs)- These airport have Customs and Immigration facilities and
are only airports you can use for your first and last stop in a country.

Landing ProceduresLanding Procedures
Controlled Airports:- Nassau and Grand Bahama International are controlled
airports, and you are advised to contact approach control or tower approximately 25nm out for landing instructions.
Uncontrolled Airports:- When approaching airports with no control facilities, you
are required to announce: Aircraft, Identification, Location and Intentions over Unicom frequency 122.8.
Pass over airport at 1,000’ MSL and enter LEFT traffic pattern. All landing and takeoffs at uncontrolled field should be into the wind.

- Only pilots on an IFR flight plan will be permitted to land after official sunset

When arriving in The Bahamas at a port of entry, what forms will I be required to submit?
