VFT-Measuring System TR-AS RC for VFTDigital Recorder with 200
MS/s samplingrate and 12 Bit resolution, remote controled
byexternal Laptop ComputerThe VFT-Measuring System TR-AS RC forVFT
is special designed for high bandwidthand allows measurements of
very fasttransients (VFT) in a frequency range frompower frequency
up to 100 MHz directly withhelp of capacitive sensors, e.g.
PD-sensorsinstalled in Gas - Insulated Switchgear
(GIS).Additionally measurement of lightning andswitching impulse
voltages as also A.C.measurements on the finally installed GIS
canbe performed.Principle of measuring systemThe measuring system
consists of anelectrical field sensor with capacitance C1,
adirectly coupled low voltage capacitor and acoaxial measuring line
with capacitance C2which forms together a capacitive voltagedivider
with a ratio of approximately C2:C1.
The measuring line is connected to the 250 Vinput of the digital
recorder which includes aninput divider with ratio 25:1.The 10 V
output of the divider is connectedwith a BNC-bridge to the 10 V
input of theprogrammable measuring amplifier channel 1of the
digital recorder.
Software ControlThe VFT-Measuring System is remotecontrolled via
the local area network (LAN) byan external Laptop Computer with
specialremote control software.The VFT-Measuring System includes
an
Industry computer with harddisc and LAN-interface but without
display and keyboard.The WinTRAS-Software for control
andmeasurement is installed on the harddisc ofthe VFT-Measuring
System and can betransparently operated with help of the
remotecontrol software on the Laptop Computer.
