Content• The content for my music magazine relates to the rock genre so fits with the them of my magazine. I found it easier

to find and think of content for my music magazine since I found it more

interesting and I consider myself part of the audience for that magazine, so I

was able to spend more time making it. Also it helped since I did a survey for people to complete to help me with

making my product.•However, the college magazine had no research done for it and it had a wider

audience so it was more difficult to think of ideas for the cover lines and content, plus I found this task to be boring when compared to the music

magazine task.

DevelopmentSince I am a fan of the rock genre myself and I am also familiar with

the generic conventions of the genre it allowed me to be more creative when making my music magazine. For example with my

music magazine I used outer glows for puffs and text to make them stand out on the page. Also I underlined some of the cover lines as

well to also make them stand out and to separate the text. I was also more creative with the fonts since the majority of the fonts I used I

got from dafont, this makes my music magazine look more attractive and interesting. I was more organised when it came to making this

product since the layout is much better on my music magazine and it looks better in general when compared to my college magazine. I didn’t really use any ideas from my college magazine for my music magazine since they are so different from each other. However, like

my college magazine I did use puffs with text inside them for my music magazine. Also, some of the fonts on my college magazine are

sans serif which links to the fonts on my music magazine since on there they are all sans serif – modern, stand out and easier to read.
