I, the Lord, am your God. You shall not have other gods besides me
2 Magic Lies: Lying tongueEnvy: Wanting what others have, be it status, abilities, or possessions
You shall not take the name of the Lord, your God, in vain
3 Shedding Innocent Blood Killing: Hands that shed innocent blood Greed: Desire for material wealth or gain Remember to keep holy the Lord's Day
4Consuming the Property of an Orphan
Wickedness: Heart that devises wicked schemes
Gluttony: Desire to eat or consume more than you require Honor your father and your mother
5 Devouring UsuryActing on Evil: Feet that are quick to rush into evil
Lust: Powerful craving for such as sex, power and money. You shall not kill
6Turning back when the army advances
False Witness: False witness who pours out lies
Anger: Loss of rational self-control and the desire to harm others. You shall not commit adultery
7 Slandering chaste womenQuarrel Maker: Man who stirs up quarrel among brothers
Sloth: Laziness and the avoidance of work. You shall not steal
8 You shall not bear false witness.9 You shall not desire your neighbor's wife.
10 You shall not desire your neighbor's goods.
Allah Most High says in His Glorious Book:
If you avoid the major (part) of what you have been forbidden (to do), We will cancel out for you your (other) evil deeds and will admit you (to Paradise) with a noble entry. (al-Nisa 4:31)
Those who avoid the greatest of sins and indecencies, and forgive when they are angry (al-Shra 42:37)
Those who avoid the greatest sins and indecencies, except for oversights, (will find that) surely your Lord is ample in forgiveness. (Al-Najm 53:32)
Hadith Bukhari and Muslim : "Avoid the seven noxious things"- and after having said this, the prophet (SAW) mentioned them: "associating anything with Allah; magic; killing one whom Allah has declared inviolate without a just case, consuming the property of an orphan, devouring usury, turning back when the army advances, and slandering chaste women who are believers but indiscreet."
Proverbs 6:16-19 : There are six things the LORD hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers.
