Tour details
On this amazing 7 day historical tour you will visit the POW war cemetery Chungkai, visit the War museum, walk over the famous Bridge on
the River Kwai followed by a train ride on the Death Railway to Nam Tok. We have added an historical tour of Bangkok as well as Angkor Wat
in Siem Reap, Cambodia. On 25th of April, we will go to Hellfire Pass for the Dawn Service and visit the war graves cemetery. See the
itinerary below for more details or contact our office. Please book this well in advance as there are limited spots and this tour can book out.
Tour Type: 7 Day Tour ex Bangkok
Tour Date: 23rd April to 29th April. (A similar tour can operate daily throughout the year for 2 or more people)
7 Day Anzac Day Tour (Code: 3ANZAC#3) Itinerary Day 1 - 23 APRIL: ARRIVE BANGKOK (L,D) Grand Palace Tour, Dinner Cruise on the Chao Phraya River.
Transfer and check in to your Bangkok Hotel. (Included 4 Star Best Western Plus at 20
Sukhumvit, close to shopping and entertainment) – Pick up at your hotel in Bangkok @ 12:00pm time for lunch. (Included)
You will be taken on a short Bangkok city tour which includes visits to the Royal Grand
Palace and Wat Prakeaw. Back to the hotel at 4pm for a rest and time to freshen up.
06:00pm Pick up from hotel for River City Pier for our Dinner cruise.
07:30pm Depart from River City Pier/Bangkok Cruise Pier and head out on the River of
Kings (Chao Phraya River) lined with unforgettable ancient sites such as the Temple of
Dawn and the Grand Palace as well as amazing structures of the modern age like
amazing 5 star hotels and bridges such as the Rama 8 bridge, Asia's longest single suspension bridge. All the while enjoying a Thai-
International Buffet dinner with remarkable food accompanied by 'Live Music' from professional bands and vocalists. Enjoy the sights, lights
and smells of Bangkok and its busy river traffic at night. (Included)
09:30pm Arrive back at River City Pier with an unforgettable memory of Bangkok at night and return to your hotel.

DAY 2 - 24 APRIL (B,L,D)
Bangkok – Kanchanaburi – Hellfire Pass
7.30am to 8am Pick up From Hotel Bangkok and travel the 2 ½ hour journey to Kanchanaburi where we meet our local guides.
We take a train excursion on the “Death Railway” over the line constructed by
the POW’s and other “slave” laborers to Nam Tok.
Lunch at Nam Tok Station (included)
We visit the Weary Dunlop Memorial Park, a remarkable tribute to the
Australian POW surgeon Lieutenant-Colonel E.E. 'Weary' Dunlop who is
revered in Australia as the iconic image of the self-sacrifice, courage and
compassion manifested by Australian doctors in captivity. What makes the
park unusual is that it is located in Thailand and was created by a Thai.
Then on to Hellfire Pass for a guided tour through the pass before the crowds
and the services on ANZAC Day. You will view the new Interpretive Centre with
its moving displays and visual presentations. then walk parts of the line – see
cuttings and relics, “Hammer and Tap” along the old line in the pass,
compressor etc.
Check into the Jungle Raft Hotel on the Kwai Noi River near Hellfire Pass.
Welcome Drinks and maybe time for a swim and relax with a beer or two -
then dinner. (Included)
DAY 3 - 25 APRIL (B,L) Hellfire Pass - Kanchanaburi
Today we travel back to Bangkok through the old Siam capital of Ayutthaya,
about 80 kilometres north of Bangkok. It was capital of the Kingdom of Siam,
and a prosperous international trading port from 1350 until razed by the
Burmese in 1767. The ruins of the old city now
form the Ayutthaya Historical Park, an archaeological site that contains
palaces, Buddhist temples, monasteries and statues. The park is on
an island between 3 rivers. Ayutthaya has been stated as Thailand’s Angkor
Wat.
Arrival late afternoon into Bangkok at your selected hotel (not included on this
package – please ask if you wish to extend your touring arrangements)
DAY 4 - 26 APRIL (B) Kanchanaburi – Ayutthaya - Bangkok
Today we travel back to Bangkok through the old Siam capital of Ayutthaya,

DAY 5 - 27 APRIL: (B,L,D) Cambodia - Tonle Sap River and Floating Village.
Pick up from your hotel in Bangkok and travel by car to the Poi Pet Cambodia
border. Our staff will meet you there to escort you through the border. (Visa if
required is not included)
Once formalities are complete, we depart for Siem Reap 252kms. (Around 3-
hour drive).
Your stay will be at the Tara Angkor Hotel or similar. Time for lunch. (Included)
This afternoon we take a short sightseeing tour of Siem Reap town and drive to the Floating Village where we take a boat out on the Tonle Sap
Lake, the largest freshwater lake in Asia. We experience the amazing floating town with schools and shops. (Included)
Late afternoon we return to Siem Reap and our hotel. Dinner. (Included)

- Evening is free. Ask you guide about visiting pub street or the night market,
$2 by tuk tuk from the hotel.
DAY (6) 28 APRIL: (B,L) Angkor Wat Sunrise to Sunset.
An early start today for Sunrise over Angkor (a full day ticket to Angkor Wat
included). After sunrise return to Hotel for Breakfast. (Included)
08:00am Morning tour – your guide will first obtain your photo ID entry pass
to all the Angkor Wat sites. During the morning you visit Angkor Thom,
Bayon Temple, Phimeanakas and Baphuon Temples.
Lunch at local restaurant. (Included)
Our afternoon visits include Tha Phrom (Tomb Raider Temple) and the world-
famous Angkor Wat, the largest religious monument in the world, on a site
measuring 162.6 hectares. Originally constructed as a Hindu temple dedicated
to the god Vishnu for the Khmer Empire, it was gradually transformed into a
Buddhist temple towards the end of the 12th century.
We can wait to see the breathtaking sunset over Angkor before returning to
your hotel. (An optional Balloon Ride or Elephant Ride can be taken at extra
cost – please notify when booking.
This evening join the Apsara Dinner Dance with entertainment. (Included)
DAY 7 - 29 APRIL: Return to Thailand Bangkok or transfer to Siem Reap
airport for your onward flight.
Breakfast at the Hotel before your driver takes you to the airport or the Thai
border.

• Vehicles are modern comfortable high-top vans with A/C Stereo sound TV - all the bells and whistles.
• Transportation van, driver, historical guide.
• Pre and post accommodation and extra touring in Bangkok and around Thailand can be arranged.
Warnings: Thailand & Cambodia are very hot please bring plenty of bottled water, sunscreen etc. Don’t forget to bring a cap, towel, sunglasses,
energy drinks, medication etc. Always keep back up SD cards and back up your photos. Make sure your camera batteries are fully charged.
