Rules Don’t Apply revolves around the awkward romance between Hughes’s driver (Alden Ehrenreich, Hail, Caesar!) and an ingénue actress (Lily Collins, Love, Rosie) auditioning for a Hughes movie. Old Hollywood is lovingly evoked, and the machinations required of the two would-be lovers are as entertaining as Hughes’s maddeningly eccentric behaviour.Contains moderate sex references and infrequent strong language.

Under threat of arrest after denouncing Chile’s right-wing president, Nobel Prize-winning poet and Communist Party activist Pablo Neruda (Luis Gnecco) is on the run. He is pursued by confl icted detective Óscar Peluchonneau (Gael García Bernal), whom the somewhat self-regarding poet taunts with clues as to his whereabouts. This game of cat and mouse is gripping and highly entertaining, and offers a dark critique of post-war Chilean politics.

there. In the process we meet her younger self (Rooney Mara) and a priest (Theo James) complicit in her incarceration. Wonderful performances perfectly interpret Sheridan’s powerful script.
