LOVING SUPPORT, POWER OF PRAYER, MIRACLES

Gloria Brousseau Ciesynski is pleading for

your help. She and her son Joseph has been in search for a liver donor for at least 8 months.

Without the transplant he is given a 20 to 30% chance of

dying soon. That does sadden her but his positive attitude gets her through a mother’s

pain of helplessness. He spends 3 days a week at a

dialysis center. He would love to be able to live as others his age.

If you would like to know more about Joseph, or if you would like to help Joseph, by knowing how you would donate, please Email Gloria a message at

[email protected]. Please pray for her son’s full recovery.

Dear Parishioners, I am happy to say that I am settling in well here at the parish. At least my boxes are unpacked! Now comes the task of getting to know all the ins and outs of St. Teresa Parish. My one big goal is to reestablish and restart many of our parish groups. The church hall and meeting rooms have gone unused for far too long. Thanks be to God, and with continued prayers, life will continue to return to normal. In a similar vein, emails and calls have been sent out by our religious education coordinator and ministries organizer, Mrs. Sue Levesque to our extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion, lectors, and altar servers to see who feels comfortable returning. I hope many, if not all, of our ministers feel safe enough to return to this important work for God and the parish. Thank you as well to those who have been serving. We recently had our parish phone system serviced. One important part of that service included the addition of a parish emergency line. If a person needs a priest for a Sacramental emergency (for example a person needs to receive the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick) and calls the office after hours, he or she now has the option of leaving a message on the emergency line. This line will then call my cell phone so that I can go and promptly administer the sacrament(s). A priest may administer the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick when a person is close to death. It radically conforms the person to Jesus Christ, particularly in His suffering on the Cross. During times of sickness and closeness to death despair and hopelessness could set in. At that moment, the anointing strengthens the person to bear the final trial of life with the same strength that Jesus bore the Cross and so enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Finally, you may have noticed the traffic cones in the school parking lot. A small section of our parking lot near one of the entrances of the school needed to be fixed. Fortunately, parishioner and owner of DaTop Sprinkler Specialists, Mr. Topper Senn came with his backhoe excavator to fix the problem. I was tempted to ask him if I could operate the excavator, but I did not want to push my luck so soon into my assignment. Mr. Senn helps the parish in many ways (particularly snow plowing the parking lots and sidewalks in the winter). A big thank you to him for his help. God bless, Fr. Barrow
