New for SPE Aberdeen, this is the 6th SPE Well Integrity Workshop held in Europe since 2005. This event benefits from the involvement of well integrity specialists from major operator and service companies. The ongoing collaboration with the regulators to share Well Integrity Management System (WIMS) practices and operational experience, resulted in the development of UK and international Well Integrity Guidelines.

This workshop promotes the sharing of innovative working practices, technological advances and the ongoing development of guidelines for cost-effective, full life-cycle management of well integrity.

Attendees will hear about the latest updates to the UK Well Integrity Guidelines, with emphasis on the late and end of life management of well integrity. Representatives of regulators and operator well integrity practitioners will provide clarification of guidelines, with discussion sessions to address issues and concerns. Active participation is expected.

The workshop sessions will prompt discussion using actual experience, and the sharing of good practices including:

• Addressing specific technical issues with potential solutions to manage degradation of well components.

• Appropriate assurance, surveillance and management of well integrity in the current business environment.

• Enhanced understanding of well integrity status, associated risk exposure and drivers for active reduction of hazards of redundant wells.

The Well Integrity Workshop will also consider the complexities of well integrity decision making relating to ageing, life extension and end-of-well-life management leading into the plugging and final abandonment of wells. This will set the scene for topics being presented at the 6th SPE European Well Abandonment Seminar being held on the following day.

A combined price for both events offers a substantial discount.
