When setting the thrust , the technique for tailwind take-off on a 350 (CLB detent at 20kts groundspeed and FLX/TOGA at 40kts). There is no rolling take-off as we normally do. You have to keep your feet on the brakes until thrust is set then release it. Most trainers don’t know this, as its fairly new and conversations with a person in the FDAP team confirmed this. This is because everything on a heavy weight RNP-AR take-off is critical. Exercise finishes about BEKOL at around FL147. Repositioned to somewhere just beyond OMBON at about F360 on the Y1 westbound. Notams and weather mean only ZLXN is available for diversion. Remember, Flight Folder Beta has the new escape routes. Update the times and fuel so the flight plan is correct. Started with a Pack 2 overheat followed by a Bleed 2 Fault and then a L Wing Leak. You are slowly depressurising and must divert. Essentially Bleed 1+2 fault without the ability to use the APU Bleed. The EFF en-route wasn’t correct as far as the exact point of where we were. After correcting the aircraft position – we diverted to ZLXN. CAB ALT starts climbing slowly. Initiate a descent with ATC and start going down. We descended to FL194(6000M). You maintain this until overhead the airfield. The profile is easy to read from the EFF. “Lock” the padlock on the new EDG .. At some point you’re going have to deploy the rubber jungle and at some point you’ll be able to turn on the ram air (delta P <2).
