Faculty Members

The Department of Islamic Studies was established in 2007. It is

one of the pioneer teaching units of HITEC University and has a leading

role in achieving the objectives for which this unique seat of learning

was established. The Department of Islamic Studies is envisioned to

grow into a Centre of Excellence in producing enlightened religious

scholars through extensive education and research in matters of faith

and religion; seeking the true meaning of Islam and spreading its light

and truth.

The Department of Islamic Studies aspires to impart sound

knowledge of the Quran and Hadith with original and impartial

interpretations. It aims at revitalizing the spirit of true Islamic thought

and scientific query, fostering awareness of the problems and potentials

of Islamic knowledge.

Presently, the department offers a BS degree programme of 4-

years duration. Subsequently, Master and PhD level courses will also be

launched.

“Bachelor of Sciences(BS)” in Islamic Studies aims to address the

applications of Islamic principles to cover contemporary needs. It

mainly focuses on Quran and Sunnah as primary source of knowledge

and infusesan urge for research to seek and deliver solutions to our

problems. The course exhorts the students to groom into proactive and

effective member of the society, as deemed essential by Islam. Presently,

the department is offering specialization in Islamic Sharaih.

Subsequently specialization in Hadith, Comparative Religions and

Tafseer will also be offered.
