ABOUT THE DEVELOPERATLANTIC SOUTH DEVELOPMENT Established in 2015 with a simple strategy to develop, own and manage Class A office and mixed use projects in major South Carolina markets.
CURRENT PROJECTS Bell Hall office – a 40,000 sf office building in Mt Pleasant – under construction for delivery in the 3rd QTR of 2018.
677 King St. – a 65,000 office/retail building in Charleston SC – currently we have conceptual BAR approval and an anticipated start of fall 2018
E. Mitchell Norville Education – Clemson University (BSME – 1980), University of Virginia (MBA – 1984)
BOSTON PROPERTIES – (1984-2012)VP AND DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (1984-1998)Responsible for over 5M sf of development Projects which include the following Sumner Square (200,000 sf urban office with ground floor retail and below grade garage parking), Democracy Center (680,000 sf 3 building suburban development with garage and surface parking), Montvale Center (120,000 sf suburban office), 500 E St. (270,000 sf urban office with below grade parking and the HQ for the International Trade Center (ITC)), Independence Square (over 1M sf of office with below grade parking in 2 buildings. The HQ for NASA and the OCC (Office for the Comptroller of the Currency), Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA) HQ – over 900,000 sf in 4 suburban buildings with surface parking.
SVP AND REGIONAL MANAGER – WASHINGTON DC (1998-2005)Overall responsibility for regional activities which included the development and management of a mixed use portfolio that grew from approximately 4M sf to over 8M sf during this period. The office staff which was broken into 5 departments of Development, Leasing, Construction, Legal and Property Management grew from approximately 26 to over 50 people during this time frame. Overall staff growth went from approximately 100 to 200 during this time frame.
EVP AND COO – BOSTON (2005-2012Overall responsibility of company operations, development activities and certain corporate functions. Direct reports included 5 regional managers (Boston, NY, Washington DC, Princeton an San Francisco), General Counsel department head, HR department head , IT department head and Risk Management department head. Company basically double in assets to over 40M sf while COO and staff size grew from over 300 to over 800 during this time frame.

LENDLEASE CONSTRUCTION (2011-2016) PROJECT ENGINEER/ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER (2011-2013) Participated on the development of Patriot’s Point. Over 500,000 sf of suburban construction in 2 buildings and an additional 250,000 of office interior work in an adjacent building. ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER/PROJECT MANAGER (2013-2016) Trump Hotel in Washington DC. - over 160 keys and over 80,000 sf support space.
