Method and System for Addressing Locations Based Upon Latitude and Longitude Positions

04/18/23 2

Objective

• A primary object of the present invention is to provide a latitude and longitude positioning system that will overcome the shortcomings of former addressing systems

• A further object of the present invention is to provide a latitude and longitude positioning system able to generate a permanently unique address based upon the latitudinal and longitudinal coordinates of a location

04/18/23 3

Objective

• Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a unique return address to generate a standardized tracking number that can be used by all shipping providers

• Another advantage is to provide a system able to be used to query a mainframe database as to the status and location of a purchased or shipped product

04/18/23 4

Customer Requirements• The present invention

overcomes the shortcomings of the current addressing system by providing coordinates from a G P S and stored thereby and disseminated as the unique destination address with a location

• The destination address is then applied to all mailings as an address and supplied as a permanently unique location address for all mail pieces

Implementation Plan

• The first step in implementing this system would be to establish the location of each post office in a country, determine the size of the area it controls and then assign a basic latitude longitude number to that area. This would create a unique database for all post office zip codes in that country.

• The next step would be to assign latitude longitude numbers to each individual address in the designated areas using a GPS receiver and a computer. The result would be a unique database for all mailing addresses in a country.

Implementation Plan• Fig. 1 is a block diagram

of the latitude and longitude positioning system of the present invention wherein a target location at which a precise positioning system receiver is used to acquire the latitude and longitude positioning coordinates for the location and disseminates the coordinates as the permanently unique address for the location to a computer.

Implementation Plan

• Figure 2 is a block diagram of the latitude and longitude positioning system of the present invention wherein a buyer having a unique address comprising latitude and longitude coordinates determined by the precise positioning system disseminates the destination address to a vendor for purchasing goods from the vendor and delivery of the goods.

Implementation Plan• Figure 3 is a perspective view

of an emergency call being placed to contact emergency personnel directing them to a location identified by an address obtained with the latitude and longitude positioning system of the present invention. Cost Analysis

• This would be cost effective based on the accuracy of the present invention which would alleviate a tremendous work load to the carrier which will create higher profit margins by using this system and customer satisfaction on timely accurate deliveries and pick-ups

• The cost to the carrier for the database would be minimal based on the manpower of the company which will create your own unique and priceless database

Our Strengths

The benefits to the customer based on the accuracy of this invention would be timely and accurate deliveries and pick-ups.

The value of this proposition would be based again on the accuracy of this invention and would create higher profit margins and more importantly customer satisfaction

Key Benefits• The present invention overcomes the

shortcomings of the existing addressing systems by providing latitude and longitude coordinates from a precise positioning system. They are then stored and disseminated as the unique destination address for the location. The destination address is then applied to all mailings as the return address and supplied as the permanently unique location address for all mail pieces.

• Cost effective, means higher profit margins and guarantees customer satisfaction

Key Benefits

Not long ago it was proposed to congress to create a new addressing system for the country of Iraq. We believe by using this system it will also be effective by being able to track where precisely the mail has been delivered from. By doing so it would help prevent any terrorist situation, or any illegal mail for example our past scare with the anthrax mailing etc.

In Closing

• There are absolutely no drawbacks• Customers would include any mail

carriers • We currently have no competitors
