INSTRUCTIONAL FOCUS2018-2019

All students need teachers to provide daily opportunities to independently engage in high-level tasks that require application of comprehension skills and strategies through discourse and writing in all content areas.

HOMEWORK POLICY

▪Reading every night for 20-30 minutes minimally▪K-2 20 minutes minimal▪3-5 30 minutes minimal

▪Development of mathematical fluency▪Computing quickly and accurately▪Math homework may come in the form of games, math problems or tasks, or math practice

OUR COMMITMENTS

▪Three (3) work artifacts each week.▪Progress reports every three weeks

SCHOOL SAFETY

▪Child Abuse and Neglect Module▪All volunteers required to take on-line module (3 year certification)▪Work in the classroom▪ Chaperone field trips▪Attend more than one school function▪ Proof of training-email presented at school
