1. INTRODUCTION

This Transformer Container has been manufactured specifically for usein the Aggreko rental fleet.

Aggreko Transformer Containers are designed to supply poweranywhere in the world within a wide range of operating environmentsand are suitable for many different applications:

e.g.. • Construction• Utilities• Manufacturing• Offshore• Petrochemical Refineries• Quarrying/Mining• Defence• Electrical/Mechanical Contractors• Shipping• Entertainment• Food Production

Aggreko Transformer Containers are designed and built in-house to avery high standard in order to perform reliably and withstand the rigoursof the rental market.

This User Manual has been prepared to assist in the operation of theTransformer Container.

Maintenance, adjustments and repairs must only be undertaken bypersonnel who are suitably qualified and authorised to do the work andwho have been properly trained.

Each Transformer Container of this type is uniquely identified by a PlantNumber and Serial Number indicated on the rating plate affixed to theoutside of the control panel. This information is required when orderingspare parts.

2. SAFETY

"SAFETY MUST HAVE PRIORITY"

This Transformer Container has been designed to be safe when used inthe correct manner. However, responsibility for safety always rests withthe personnel using the equipment. The Transformer Container shouldonly be operated by personnel who have been properly authorised andtrained.

Prior to installing and operating the Transformer Container or carryingout any maintenance or repair, personnel must read and understandthese instructions paying particular attention to all safety precautions andwarnings.

This Transformer Container must only be handled, installed andoperated in accordance with relevant national, local or Federal codes,standards or other requirements.

3. INSTRUCTIONS

3.1. Equipment Data

The technical data defining the Transformer Container and thelimits on its operating environment are tabulated in theEquipment Data Sheet.

A copy of the Equipment Data Sheet has been included in theattachments to this manual. This includes and expands upon theinformation that is provided on the rating plate affixed to the set.A copy of the rating plate data has also been included in theattachments.

3.2. Instruction for Installation and Use

Refer to the relevant supplier’s literature, included in theattachments to this manual, for instructions relating to the use ofthis equipment.

3.3 Handling Instructions

1. For weights and dimensions refer to the Equipment DataSheet and Outline Drawing (attachments).

2. Package may be lifted by the four corner castings on the top of thecontainer.

3. This Transformer is housed in a standard ISO 20’ x 8’ x 6’6”container which has been certified by Lloyds Register to meetCSC requirements for safety in loading.

4. All units are to be loaded flat on transport and properlysecured.

5. This container is classified “Not to be overstowed” and is onlysuitable for shipping on deck or on top of stack.

3.4. Maintenance Instructions

Adjustments, service and repairs must only be undertaken bypersonnel who are suitably qualified and authorised to do thework and who have been properly trained.

Routine maintenance must be carried out by qualified personnelwith appropriate tools and protection in accordance with theinstructions contained in the relevant equipment supplier’sinstruction manual.

Non routine maintenance operations must only be carried out byauthorised Aggreko personnel equipped with the appropriatetools and protection and in possession of the relevant specialisttechnical information i.e. component manufacturers instructions.

To assist with ordering spare parts and other service activities, ashortform list of Component Manufacturers Data has beenincluded in the attachments.

5. HAZARDOUS AREAS

This Transformer Container has not been designed for use in HazardousAreas. No attempt must be made to operate in a hazardous areawithout the express authority of Aggreko.
