President’sMessageNEW YEAR’S RESOLUTION’S AT RBCU

Many of us have made resolutions as we entered the new year to get in shape, lose weight or at least exercise a little more frequently! Hope everyone is well on their way to achiev-ing their 2019 resolutions, but it did remind me RBCU has some resolutions in the new year as well.

As you may recall, RBCU sent out a member survey in the fall. The company who adminis-tered the survey and reported the results commented on how incredibly loyal the RBCU membership base is. But in addition to many positive comments, there were some areas of concern that will serve as the basis for RBCU’s 2019 resolutions:

offering a full schedule of free seminars in 2019 as part of this commitment.• Improve member experience, through staff training, hours of operation and asking the right questions. I expect members to be greeted and served in a polite, friendly and respectful manner.• Increased engagement by encouraging members to run for the Board of Directors, attend the Annual Meeting to learn more about RBCU, volunteer with us for Flags for Fort Snelling, or reach out to the management team when they have comments or questions.• Keeping up with technology. We hope we addressed that by adding a mobile app that features mobile check deposit to allow members to access their account 24/7/365.

RBCU would like to thank the nearly 1,000 members who completed the survey. It will serve as a valuable benchmark I will be using to measure our progress toward exceeded our 2019 resolutions in 2020 and beyond.

On behalf of all RBCU staff, thank you for being an RBCU member!

Sincerely,Greg Worthen

RBCU WINS TWO MARKETING AWARDS

HOLIDAY FOR HEROES

RBCU VISITS OAK GROVE

MIDDLE SCHOOL

Community&EVENTSRBCU was the proud recipient of two awards presented by the Minnesota Credit Union Network in

project, and the second was awarded for Printed Material for our 2017 Annual Report.

The 47 applications were evaluated by volunteer judges Paragon Social LLC Founder Ava Beilke; DAYTA Marketing digital strategist and consultant Erin Perry Borron; and Louisiana FCU’s chief administrative officer and CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council Chair Mia Perez.

RBCU’s winning submissions will be included in a presentation during the MNCUN Annual Meeting banquet and will be invited to share our work during an interactive panel discussion on credit union marketing best practices during the Minnesota Credit Union Network Annual Meeting being held April 25 through 26 at the Radisson Blu Mall of America in Bloomington.

RBCU employees were proud to volunteer at the “Holiday for Heroes” event at the Mall of America this year. The private event allowed Minnesota military families to celebrate the holiday season with their families and each other at Nickelodeon Universe.

It was a fun, yet humbling day! Thank you for all who have served!

Last December RBCU was able to help out at both the 6th and 7th grade parties at Oak Grove Middle School in Bloomington. We brought our spin art machines and our booth was a hit! A special thank you to our RBCU volunteers Malachi, Chelsea, Candy, Yesi and Selene.
