    Labs Attendance in the labs is mandatory, as the labs are the most important portionof the course. We will work interactively on problems. You will be asked to present solutions

    or partial solutions to your fellow students, and be asked to comment on others solutions.This interaction can be very productive if you make an honest effort to participate. Newmaterial will occasionally be presented in the labs rather than the lectures, if the materialrelates more to practice than to theory.

    Math and Stats Learning Centre The math and stats learning centre is located in3125 Erie Hall. Help is available from graduate students, for this course, and all first year

    math and stats courses.

    Prerequisites 60-100 or one course in linear algebra (either 62-120, 62-125 or 62-126).A grade of at least C- is preferred in any prerequisite course.

    EvaluationAssignments (10%)Test 1 (20%): Thursday, June 7, in classTest 2 (20%): Thursday, July 12, in classFinal Exam (50%): Thursday, August 16, 8:30am. Location TBA

    Missing Exams If one test is missed for a legitimate reason the student must contactthe instructor within 72 hours to arrange a make-up test. If a second test is missed for alegitimate reason, the appropriate value will be determined by the final examination. If aStudent misses a test due to illness, he or she must submit a University of Windsor StudentMedical Certificate, completed and signed by the students physician.

    CheatingAll incidences of cheating will be reported to the Dean for consideration of disciplinary ac-tions as described by Senate By-law 31. Allowing and/or aiding another student to copyfrom your paper are also considered cheating.

    Writing Three or More Exams on the Same DayA student scheduled to write three invigilated final examinations in one calendar day mayapply to have one examination rescheduled on an alternate examination day. The de-termination of which examination shall be rescheduled and the date of the alternate ex-amination (may be the last possible day of the examination period) shall be made bythe Vice-Provost, Students and Registrar. Please download the appropriate form fromhttp://www.uwindsor.ca/registrar and submit to the Office of the Registrar.

    Exam Conflicts Due to Observance of Religious Holy DaysStudents who are unable to write a final examination(s) during the regularly scheduled time

    slot because of a conflict with religious conviction must apply for the alternative examina-tion(s) in the course(s) involved by the end of the normal add/drop period for the particularsession. The Registrars Office will schedule the alternative examination(s) for those studentsin another slot(s) within the regular examination period. Please download the appropriateform from http://www.uwindsor.ca/registrar and submit to the Office of the Registrar. Note:These applications must be submitted by the end of the fourth week of classes (second weekof classes for 6 week courses).
