I purchased Stupid Simple SEO around November 2019 and went

through it over the course of a few weeks. There’s so much valuable

information in it and it’s all about bloggers. You get all you need to

know about SEO in one convenient place.

What’s more, this is the course that inspired me to take action to

optimize my site like never before. I re-organized my categories and

site structure, changed the design of my homepage, created specific

pages (called silo pages) that contain the best information I have on a

certain topic and then redirected the category page to it. That helps

with user experience but also rankings and relevance (it tells Google

what your site is about).

I’m constantly going back to old content and

delete/update/republish it. It’s part of my overall content and SEO

strategy. Every piece on the site should serve a purpose. 

I also used Ahrefs (it’s an expensive tool but Mike shows a way to use it

for free to complete the tasks from the course) and for the first time,

identified my main competitors. I also saw their top pages and

backlinks and learned a lot from it. That data is now extracted and

saved so I can access it any time.

I also saw my top pages, the keywords I already rank for, my dofollow

backlinks, and so much more. If it wasn’t for this course, I wouldn’t

know what to do with all this data. But now, I was able to go to blog

posts of mine that rank on Google (but not in the first few positions)

and optimize them more so they can increase their rankings. Also,

some pages were ranking well for a keyword although I’ve optimized

them for another phrase. Now, I went back to them and changed this

to give them a boost.

All this is a long-term strategy but SEO is something every blogger

needs to master at some point if they want to bring traffic to their blog

every month. And this is how passive income is generated. You can

create multiple sites on specific topics (these are called niche sites)

and optimize each using the SEO techniques outlined in this course to

rank it high. Each site can be monetized with ads and affiliate links so

they can make you money forever.
