CRAYONS TO COFFEE CUPS
I Found Jesus On A Branch
This is the fourth in a series of six articles that I am
writing regarding unusual places and/or things that
I have found Jesus in. I was recently strolling
through our woods, after it snowed. It was abso-
lutely beautiful how the snow on the trees glistened
in the sunlight. I noticed a small “Charlie Brown”
tree that, from the weight of the snow, was strug-
gling to keep its small branches up. Feeling some-
what sorry for this little tree, I brushed off all the
snow. As soon as the weight of the snow was re-
moved, that tree did not appear to be so little any-
more. Its branches immediately strung up and it
now stood taller than I expected. How often have
we felt in our lives like this little tree? While we
may not have snow weighing us down, the prob-
lems in our lives can and often do just the
same. Jesus has told us many times to come to
Him for He will carry our burdens. “Come to me,
all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give
you rest.” (Matthew 11:28) If we allow Him to, He
will remove that snow. I am quite certain that this
tree will experience this same weight from the
snow again. It is unavoidable. When this occurs,
will there be someone to assist this tree in remov-
ing the weight? If you see someone who needs
their “snow” removed, will you be able and willing
to help them stand tall? --Sherrie Clutts DRE
