PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY Do you like to crochet or knit? If so, please join us on Wednesday, February 12th at 11 am in the PAC "C" room. The St. Lucy Prayer Shawl Ministry is looking for more creative and committed ladies who love to crochet and/or knit. God Bless.

Annual Mardi Gras Celebrations March 1st Mardi Gras is celebrated around the world on the day before Ash Wednesday as a way to indulge before we start our Lenten journey. Let's continue our St. Lucy's tradition of bring-ing a "pot luck" dish so that we can share good food, listen to great music and enjoy an evening with friends old and new. Look for additional information over the next few weeks as we get closer to this fun-filled event.

ADORATION Every Thursday, 9:00AM - 5:45PM.

EUCHARISTIC EXPOSITION AND BENEDICTION

Have you ever considered attending a Worldwide Marriage Encounter weekend but either could not or did not wish to go away for a full weekend? St. Lucy’s will host a new Marriage Encounter consisting of sessions on seven consecutive Saturday eve-nings, beginning April 26 and ending June 7. This program is designed for couples with good marriages who desire a richer, fuller life together. For more information or to register, please visit our website at: http://www.sanjosewwme.org or contact Thomas & Sandy Pavick, 1(408) 262-4061 or Email: [email protected].

Appeal Weekend is here. Today is the day that Bishop McGrath and your parish ask for your support for the ministries and services of the Diocese such as support of Vocations, Institute for Leadership in Ministry, Faith Formation, and others. This is your once-a-year oppor-tunity to share your gifts with our local Church and help our parish meet its goal of $175,433. You should have already received your package containing the documentation associated with this year's campaign. Our goal this year is about 10% more than last year so please consider increasing your last year's gift or helping us out with a small new donation. God bless, Fr. Kevin, Fr. Steve, & Raymond Langford

GOD’S SUMMONS

If we are not able to witness concretely to the love of Christ in our lives, then we are truly salt that has gone tasteless. Our flavor and impact are lost. How difficult it is to get them back again.

In the late 1940s the Christophers movement began in the United States. The Christophers’ motto, “It is better to light one candle than to curse the darkness,” attracted many through the Christophers’ effective use of the media, advertis-ing, and the encouragement of its members to proclaim Christ in the workplace.

Jesus calls us to be that candle and to set ourselves in the most visible place. Jesus, who brought eternal light to the world, tells us that we, too, are the light of the world. Through our words and actions we must let our light shine in the sight of all so that in seeing our good works, everyone may give praise to God. Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co.

MANTON DE ORACION ¿Le gustaría hacer ganchillo o tejer?

Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co.
