•Math-- Continue working on IXL. Mrs. Chilson has sent home an update. Multiplication.

•Social Studies--Chapter 4--Colonizing the New World. Test will be coming soon. The colonizing groups have all landed and are establishing their colonies.

•Language/Composition-- We are finishing up the Biography iMovies projects. Be looking for those on the class website. In writing we are studying organization and focusing on leads.

•Reading-- Novel Study--Hatchet by Gary Paulsen. Thank you for assisting your child in finding time to read over Thanksgiving break.

Science-- Electricity

This year our Christmas gift exchange will be card games!

Please spend approximately $5.

Some examples: My Word, Quitch, Blink, Zigity, Uno, Skipbo, Swap, etc. I saw a

bunch at Target on an end cap, but the other stores

have them too.

Be sure to have your child select one he/she would

enjoy. We’ll play a game to exchange.

Midterms Home

Midterms reports went home last Wednesday. Students have many opportunities to raise their grades before the quarter cut-off on January 8th. It is important that they work hard and do their best on each assignment and activity. With Christmas on the way, students are often distracted, but maintaining focus during instruction is vital. Please contact me if you have any questions about your child’s grade.
