Welcome to the 5th Annual Building Entrepreneurship Around TampaBay (B.E.A.T.) event, hosted by USF CONNECT in partnership with BioFlor-ida. It is our pleasure to welcome you to the USF Research Park and the USF CONNECT facility.
USF CONNECT is the business and economic development initiative of the University of South Florida (USF) that provides support for technology start-ups and serves as the point of entry for companies looking to do busi-ness with USF. Our organization houses both the Tampa Bay Technology Incubator (TBTI) as well as the Student Innovation Incubator (SII). Today, we recognize and showcase the many achievements of local entrepre-neurs in the various communities and ecosystems throughout Tampa Bay. During the next few hours, you will hear the insights and achievements of successful entrepreneurs, innovators, experienced service providers, and investors. You will be able to network with other professionals and share your personal experiences amongst likeminded individuals.
As with all events of this nature, we greatly appreciate our partner, BioFlor-ida, and sponsors. Please thank those individuals who are here represent-ing their companies and organizations. Th is event would not be the success that it is without their generous support. Th roughout the day, we encourage you to take pictures and participate in the event by promoting it using the hashtag #USFBEAT2017 and posting on social media.
On behalf of the event committee and the USF CONNECT team, thank you for joining us. We are confi dent that the insights presented today will be invaluable to both yourself and those you represent!
