University of Hamburg, Germany
July 19th – 22nd 2016
www.iseac-‐conferences.org
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we are pleased to invite the scientific community engaged in ENVIRONMENTAL ANALYTICAL CHEMISTRY and FOOD SAFETY to attend the 39th ISEAC which will be held in July at the UNIVERSITY OF HAMBURG, Germany.
We invite you to a very exciting SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM which is now available on the web: www.iseac-‐conferences.org/index.php/scientific-‐program! The meeting will include lectures, poster sessions and an exhibition and accordingly provide for ample possibilities for the distribution of knowledge on latest developments in analytical methods for environmental and food analysis. The conference is best suited for the setup of research platforms in an interdisciplinary context for tackling challenges and for initiating new collaborations for research on a global scale. One of the aims of ISEAC-‐38 in Lausanne 2014 was to open the discussion regarding Food Safety by leading food safety experts from Europe and overseas. We will continue this Think Tank Series and the dialogue in the 39th edition talking about FOOD PRODUCTION IN EMERGING BUT UNDERDEVELOPED NATIONS with Implications on Food Safety and Environmental Issues.
As a novelty for this conference series we have included the session “THINKING OUTSIDE THE BOX” (Wednesday, July 20th). For this session we have invited four outstanding speakers showing the view beyond the scientific horizon.
• Prof. Dr. Robert Huber (Nobel Prize winner in Chemistry 1988) will present us his outstanding ideas about New Ways of Vision: Beauty and Fitness for Purpose of Proteins.
• Prof. Dr. Christoph Kutter (Director Fraunhofer Research Institution for Microsystems and Solid State Technologies EMFT, Munich) will talk about ideas arround The Internet of Things.
• Prof. Dr. Alexander Makarov, a Russian physicist who led the team that developed the Orbitrap-‐technology will give us some insights into the development of mass spectrometers.
• Prof. Dr. R. J. Dwayne Miller from the Departments of Chemistry and Physics, University of Toronto, Canada will give a keynote lecture about Mapping Atomic Motions with Ultrabright Electrons.
LET´S GO PAPERLESS: With ISEAC39 we are going to transform ISEAC-‐conferences towards paperless. All information needed for the conference will be available for participants via an mobile-‐app (provided by doubledutch). Therefore a toll free access to wireless local area network (WLAN) will be provided by the organizer during the conference. The link for the download willl be send to registered attendees shortly. We would be very happy to meet you at this event in Hamburg.
