THE TOP 7 LIES OF THE REAL ESTATE
EDUCATION INDUSTRY EXPOSED!
By: Stefan Aarnio
Hello everyone, Stefan Aarnio here, award winning real
estate investor, award winning entrepreneur and the author of
the book “Money People Deal: The Fastest Way to Real Estate
Wealth.” I’m here to share the Top Seven Lies of the Real Estate
Education Industry Exposed. This urgent report has been floating
around my conscience for months and it’s time to share it with
the world because I have had enough of the real estate education
industry’s lies!
The first question you might have is “who the heck is Stefan
Aarnio?” and how is he qualified to write a report on lies in the
real estate education industry? 5 years ago, I started out in the
real estate investment game with only $1200.00 dollars. I went to
a couple real estate seminars, I bought my first property and I
started out with virtually no money and no credit. Fast forward 24
months later and I am doing deal after deal, I’m winning awards
and I’m raising millions of dollars of investor capital to do as many
deals as I can handle! I started out with no money at all at age 22
and five years later I am running a multi-‐million dollar real estate
business that dominates my niche market. I have been through
the trenches, I’ve done the deals and some of these real estate
education companies have even offered me up to 800k per year
to work for them, but I turned them down! Today, I’m here to
share a little bit of my wisdom and knowledge with you so that
you can avoid the scammers and con artists in the industry. Why
am I credible? The short answer is that I have actually done what
most real estate investment coaches; trainers and educators tell
people to do. I have made a small fortune in real estate, I’ve been
full time for many years, I live exclusively off of my real estate
profits and I’m only 27 years old. So many of these education
companies are telling their customers to do things that they
haven’t done themselves. A lot of their content is theory -‐ I call it
virgin sex therapy. You might be wondering, why am I telling you
this? How do I benefit from telling you about the Top 7 Lies of the
Real Estate Education Industry? Besides my conscience, I’ve got 3
reasons why I must share this information with you today…
Reason to share this report #1: The first reason that I have
for sharing this report with you is that Real Estate Investing is not
for everyone; It’s not as easy as it looks, but there is a ton of
money to be made! There are days when I’m cashing huge 5
figure profits and I think that investing is the easiest thing on the
planet… There are other days where I want to rip my hair out of
my skull because the process of making money in real estate isn’t
easy every single day! You know Pareto’s Principle? Or the 80/20
rule where 80% of the success comes from 20% of the people?
Real Estate is no different! Except in the real estate seminar
world, it’s 97/3 where 3% of the students become successful and
97% waste their money! I want to make sure that the right
people get into the industry and build their financial freedom
while the wrong people stay out and keep their day jobs! Some of
these real estate education companies drive from town to town
like a circus and sell every old grandmother, or every young kid
their ultra expensive education programs. Most of these (but not
all) old grandmothers and young kids aren’t fit for investing in real
estate and they typically lose a lot of money on the education!
There are a lot of tears, a lot of heartache, and a lot of hurt when
these people have spent $10,000, $20,000, or even $50,000 and
then realize that real estate is not for them! I want to share this
report with the world so that we never see another dollar wasted
on the wrong person’s education!
Reason to Share This Report #2: The second reason why I’m
sharing my report with you today is there’s a rare breed of
maverick real estate investors who execute the deals they claim
to do… and they don’t fly from town to town selling seminars!
Most seminar companies have high paid actors selling onstage,
who travel around the country selling high priced seminars, books
and tapes. The people who are actually making money in real
estate are a rare breed of maverick investors who make fortune
after fortune in their local markets. The actual professional
investors are making money in the market and not selling from
stage! I want you to be able to identify between the fakers and
the real industry players after reading this report!
Reason to Share This Report #3: The third reason why I’m
sharing this report with you is that my mission right now is to pass
on my success and create the next generation of “real deal” real
estate investors who are making fat six figure incomes! If you
don’t want to make a full time six figure income, maybe you just
want to make some extra money here and there while still
working your day job – real estate can be for you too! Regardless
of the amount of money you want to make, it takes a dedicated,
persistent person to become the 3% and succeed in this business.
I want to make sure that you have the dedication and persistence
to succeed before taking any real estate education of any kind!
Real Estate Education Industry Lie #1: The Deals are Fake.
Whenever a new real estate educational promoter comes to
town, I always stop by to see what courses, books and tapes they
are selling. Typically, the deals that these promoters show you on
stage are fake. I’ve seen many companies come through my town
and I see the same stage promoters over and over again selling
the same courses and tapes under different brands. These
salesmen are actors, they’re onstage and they're not actually
doing the deals they claim to do! They’re putting up pictures of
other people’s deals – not their own! If you’re doing deals and
making money in real estate, chances are you’re doing deals and
cashing checks every month -‐ not driving around like a circus
monkey hoping to sell a seminar.
Real Estate Education Industry Lie #2: The Trainers Are Not Rich
(Like They Claim To Be.) The second lie of the real estate industry
is that the trainers are not rich (although they claim to be)! Okay…
lets talk about rich people for a moment… I have rich people who
invest in my company. These people are legit multi millionaires
and yes, they are rich... And guess what? They are not hanging out
in seminar basements at noon and 7pm during the workweek…
and they certainly are not hanging out in hotel basements selling
seminars on the weekend! The book and tape salesman who are
in these hotel basements are just actors and employees… they are
not rich like they claim to be. The guys who are actually rich are
on the beach enjoying their lives. Some of my investors show up
to every meeting with me in a different sports car every time! My
investors are rich, they’re not coming out to seminar meetings,
they have the money, and they’re simply not selling seminars for
a living.
Real Estate Education Industry Lie #3: The Trainers Aren’t
Doing Any Deals Anymore The third reason the real estate
industry lies is that the trainers aren’t doing deals anymore! You
see the same tired old trainers talking about their glory days; “Oh
yeah I’ve done many deals like this, I’ve done deals in the past, I’m
doing deals right now…” In reality, real estate is a physical, local
business. If you’re on the road 365 days a year, promoting real
estate seminars, you are not doing deals, I guarantee it. There is
no way you can effectively do deals (or a lot of deals) by being on
the road all the time. I’m on the road a lot, I attend seminars to
learn, I’m training all the time, and you know what I can only do it
for a short period of time because I actually run a full time
business with legit employees and make six figure profits from
real estate. To be successful, you have to be local, in your market
and you can’t be on the road all the time!
Real Estate Education Industry Lie #4: The Salesmen Have
Never Done Deals – Ever! The fourth real estate industry lie is
that the salesmen in the back of the room have never done
deals… ever! Some of these guys come in from the USA and they
come up to Canada and talk about short sales — short sales don’t
happen very often in Canada. Or vice versa, you might have
Canadian guys coming down to the USA talking about things that
can’t happen there. These people have never done deals at all.
They are actors, they sell from the back of the room, they maybe
did one or two deals before getting hired by the seminar
company, but most of them haven’t done anything. They just
memorize a script. The great seminar actors sell from stage, the
bad seminar actors wait for you at the back of the room to take
your money!
Real Estate Education Industry Lie #5: The Strategies Are
Outdated! The fifth industry lie I want to share with you is that
the strategies taught by these seminar companies are outdated.
Ladies and gentlemen, the real estate market is always changing!
What works today, won’t work six months from now. What works
six months from now won’t work a year from now. And what
works this year won’t work next year. The market is a living,
breathing organism and is always changing! The sub-‐markets and
neighborhoods are changing, the strategies are changing, and
these tired old seminar companies are sharing strategies with the
public that worked five or ten years ago. Some of these things
don’t work everywhere, they don’t work all the time. But when
you’re charging people full price and sending them into the wrong
markets to do these old outdated strategies with old outdated
contracts, you are doing the public a dis-‐service.
Real Estate Education Industry Lie #6: The Highest Paid
People in the Company Sell From Stage. The sixth reason why the
real estate industry lies to people is that the highest paid people
in these companies are the men and women who sell from stage!
Now how do I know this? Some of these companies have tried to
hire me as a trainer or salesmen in the past and I respectfully
decline because I value my freedom, my autonomy, my lifestyle,
and I like to do deals. These companies have even offered me
positions where I can make 600k to 800k a year speaking on the
road and I wouldn’t have to do deals anymore! I make enough
money in real estate and don’t want to be living in seminar hotel
basements 365 days a year like some of these seminar salesmen.
I’d rather be out in the field doing deals, enjoying my life and
having a great lifestyle. The highest paid people in these
companies are the “front of house” salespeople who make 600k
to 800k per year while the trainers make only 5k per class that
they teach (and they have to pay for their own flight and hotel out
of that 5k)! When you look at the trainers — the people who are
supposedly doing the deals and making the big money in real
estate -‐ they make hardly make any money. Some of these
trainers are so broke that they can hardly survive. The real estate
education industry is completely backwards where the actors and
the salespeople are getting paid huge sums of money and the
people who deliver the education to the customer make very
little. To me, it doesn’t make any sense.
Real Estate Education Industry Lie #7: The Companies Have
to Rebrand Every 3 to 5 Years to Stay Alive! The seventh reason
why the real estate industry lies to you is that they have to
rebrand their company every 3 to 5 years to stay alive. I know of
some real estate companies that have such a bad reputation that
they have to rebrand every three months to stay afloat. I know of
the other major companies that typically rebrand every three to
five years. Do you know what kind of business has to rebrand
every three to five years? Bars and nightclubs! Bars and
Nightclubs pretty much the same level integrity that some of
these real estate education companies have. Many of the owners
run their companies like a bar or a nightclub and every three
years, someone in the club gets shot, killed or stabbed, and they
have to rename the bar. That is no different than what you see in
the real estate education industry. These companies are always
rebranding because they can’t keep their reputations alive for
long enough!
So there you have it, I’ve shared the seven lies that the real
estate industry uses every day. I wanted to get this urgent report
off of my conscience because the public has to hear it. I’m Stefan
Aarnio and if you like the truth, pick up a copy of my book “Money
People Deal: The Fastest Way to Real Estate Wealth” — but it
doesn’t matter to me, I don’t need your money. In fact, I don’t
need anything from you at all, I have more than enough money
and I’m not here to sell anything… I’m just looking to align myself
with the next generation of success and find the people who want
to follow my footsteps and make a fortune in real estate just like I
have!
