ABOUT THE INSTITUTE The Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat is spread over 100 hectares of land on the Surat-Dumas Road. The Institute established in 1961 in the State of Gujarat as one of the Regional Engineering Colleges, became National Institute of Technology (NIT) in 2002. At present, the Institute is offering seven under graduate, fifteen post graduate, and Ph.D. programs in various disciplines of technology as well as five Year Integrated M. Sc. programs. The institute has an excellent placement record.
